King, Carole - Music Lyrics
Music is playing inside my head
Over and over and over again
My friend, there's no end to the music
Ah, summer is over
And won't let the cold get me down
Pictures are forming inside my brain
Soon with the colors they'll rain together and grow
Then don't you know, don't you know there'll be music
Ah, it's not always easy
But the music keeps playing
And won't let the world get me down

King, Carole Music Comments
What a talent! And this song.........MUSIC indeed!! Shedding a tear is easy with one. Jazz, pop, Carole. Just wonderful!!
When this album first came out, (now there's a word the millennials won''t understand, album), this became one of my favorite songs by Carole King, even though It's Too Late dominated the charts. This song had it all, she put all of her musical and composing abilities right out there, and put together the perfect song. I particularly like the verse as she comes out of the solos, the way she accents the lyrics, "SOON with the COLORS, they'll RAIN together and grow." The accents are just amazing. Anyway, i'm no music critic, I just loved this time of the 70's. Life in college then was great. Today, I'd probably get expelled.
WMJCPA Yup. Just a beautiful lady doing a beautiful song. ✌️
Yep. Like a lot of her hardcore fans I prefer this album to Tapestry. At least half of the songs are as good as any on tapestry, and it's musically more adventurous on many of the cuts. Especially the sax solos on several of the tracks. About half of the tracks sound unfinished or like it was rushed, but if they had been better produced I think this would have been a better album than Tapestry.
That song and the sax solo gives me the goose pimples. Melancholy and joy in three-quarter - delirious and beyond.
waltz é isso...........
i always loved this song, but that honking tenor solo ruins it...it's out of place, too avant guard for this jazz waltz.
I love that piece of music, we all have different tastes
Sort of. But it's kind of like a crazy little toddler celebrating the music and life :D I love it!
That Curtis Amy sax is just the greatest man. Carole loved it too otherwise she would never have agreed to put it on the track.
