Just heard it in its "new" form on the album and boys is it HORRIBLE! Trust her. Take something beautiful, that don't need messing with and bastardise it. I delete it at once-I play 'Without Your Love' in its place. Silly Kim. Again.

Both versions are great but I prefer the 'Aliens' version.

Bullshit. The lovely synth has been ripped out and replaced by ugly, unbalanced guitar and the chorus has been bludgeoned out of its sleekness and life and spirit by adding the inferior, unwanted vocals of the niece and younger sister, and Ricky, who's vocals are usually an asset (and would certainly have benefited all that 90s love stuff he was left off of) just sound utterly out of place, like a football hooligan that starts yelling mid-way through a theatre play. Ridiculous. The song was already perfect, untouchable and she MADE the decision to keep it deliberately limited to France only and it in no way matches the album any more than the 'Snakes & Ladders', 'Carry Me Home' or 'Party On The Brink'. Nope, 'Addicted' is not for, nor part of this album, any more than 'Lovers On A Beach' is part of "Another Step" or 'Virtual World' is related to "Close".

There's more than enough loud guitar replacing synths since 2010, and a song already existing, no matter how made virtually unavailable, has NO right being on a new album does, and with the obvious lack of any extra tracks made around the new album-what HAS she bee doing for 8 years?!-'Without Your Love' is clearly the best (and only bet) to replace this thing, which is from 2010 and not now!

It's her own fault she made it deliberately limited to get hold of-no one told her too. She been taking the piss for years the way she does (and DOESN'T) do things. So this is what we get. 500 years in the making and the albums going to be full of 3 minute songs just like the last 4! And not even 12 full songs! What DOES she do in that studio-not that she's hardly in there anyway. Boy, has the beautiful days of the 80s-even the 90s long deserted us. And of course no single ahead of the "new album"-she has a second chance to make this a single-she won't! She never does anything positive musically these days without ruining it with some unnecessary angle. God it makes ya sick! Supporting other artists is far less of a headache (just not so good). Never knew a singer who hated her career so much, except for one album "Close" and half a dozen other songs, like the blip she started out with!

you must listen to Come Out and Play again before writing "She never does anything positive musically these days"..and a new single Pop Don't Stop will be out next Tuesday. What tells you that 'Addicted to You" on the new album (and yes, it's a new album !) to come is the same ? And if it the case,  i just remind you that this song was only on the French digital version of Come Out and Play and fans were complaining they couldn't get this song. So, if Kim Wilde just wants to please her fans with this song on her new album, where is the problem ???

The problem's all over the place actually. Firstly I don't listen to the dreadfully over-edited "Come Out And Play"-an album she sounds like she can't wait to get through with quick enough at the speed she's singing the tunes and abruptly ending them-and think "wow!"-because it doesn't count! It was seven flaming years ago-and like the one before, wasn't released in the UK anyway. In that time, Slagdonna, Minogue, Alison Moyet, Texas, Annie Lennox and indeed everyone has knocked off half a dozen piece of shit at least since then-and IN the UK! It stands out as it was the only actual album that was her own before she killed her career with unending covers and Christmas albums and virtually becoming a karaoke act whose live shows must have the most limited and inflexible playlist EVER performed by an act. 90% of her stuff doesn't exist when she does them, most songs she's either never done or only ever did when the album they were from was currently out. And I don't expect her UK shows to be any different-the only new things being the album she's on now! Until it's consigned to the past with the others. Any minute now then...

Secondly, what tells me 'Addicted To You' IS the same is I know her! The thing appeared live in Manchester leaked on here-I was ecstatic initially, shocked and said so beneath the clip! The next day I found out the truth and took it all back. Of COURSE it's the old one-when she EVER resurrected something from the long past if it isn't a single from "Close", the first two from her debut or 'You Keep Me Hangin' On'?! Answer: never! Especially if it's a B-side or (these days) something to be kept in limbo. No-she brings it back to waste space for song that already exists so she doesn't have to put on another. 5 years this albums been in the making at least (so long we all thought it had died of boredom) and now we only get 11 songs as this one's already out. SO WHAT if it was only for the French-no one FORCED her to make this stupid decisions-but she's certainly an old hand at them. With her disastrous history in this area-aligned to her always dreadful record companies, it's a wonder she ever got anything released from anything at all, aside from that sodding 'Kids' song-a tune her live sets could well do without for at least one sodding show!

Yes 'Addicted To You's' bloody lovely-something we all knew when we heard it. But so were the other 3 songs accompanying it and THEY don't get a reprieve, do they?! Who complains about not having a song internationally in the digi-age? Even I had to burn the bleeding thing back in 2011-the last year youtube allowed that. If she really wants to listen to complaints, how about her showing a bit of variety in her live sets AND releasing a few CD singles WITH B-sides? Or at least a bonus CD with the album? I mean-11 songs in 5 years. That's ALL? What was she doing? Recording just 2 songs a year? Certainly seems it.

Sorry, it just seems like staying a loyal fan to her these days is a pisstake and every other artist has it so much better.

I am in RAPTURE with this track. I want the deluxe edition but haven't been able to find it as it's only in Paris :-( I have been listening tot his track so much over the last few weeks as someone else put it on You Tube. The sound on your's is MUCH better though so I will have to add your's and get rid of the other one!
