Howard's stint with KSE started out well(probably because a lot of the songs were co-written by Jesse right before he left). But the quality of the lyrics got worse for each album, and the band was getting softer and softer. The last album with Howard was unbearable trash that I'll never listen to ever again. I'm so glad Jesse is back and you can actually feel the renewed energy in the songs.

I love the bass in this song. it really shines through

I had to take a break from trying to force myself to like the new A7X and come over to a band that was easy to love when the new album came out.

The first listen through The Stage was a real shock for me. For some reason I thought they would go back to their metalcore roots, but was thoroughly shocked when I heard it was more along the lines of "if Pink Floyd were metal". I really did not like it at first... But, with each listen to the album, I began to like it more and more. If I were only allowed to pick a few songs from the album to keep, I would choose God Damn, Creating God, Higher, and Exist. [ honorable mentions to Simulation and Fermi Paradox ;) ]

-Fixation on the Darkness, My Last Serenade, Just Barely Breathing, Temple from the Within, The Element of One (one of my all-time favorites by them), and Vide Infra (all off of Alive or Just Breathing, often considered their best album)
-Irreversal, Soilborn, Numb Sickened Eyes, and One Last Sunset (all their first self-titled, debut album)

Don't let the bickering about which vocalist is better deter you from either vocalists' works. Both Jesse and Howard have put out some amazing works.

Not the best song on the album but still better than the last 3 albums with Howard. It ran it's course and for the true old school fan we are happy. Howard is awesome respect his work with DYK. Just feels like they are back.

Really? I actually rank this song as #1 from Incarnate. I've been a KsE fan since 2004 and this song honestly ranks amongst my Top 3. Jesse's vocals on this song are absolutely beautiful and the lyrics are powerful.

It's a good song we all have our own tastes. I knew about this band before they were signed. The demo I heard if course I was in the scene. Triumph through tragedy, Alone I stand & Quiet distress are my favorites but I like the while album.

+fct4life I love the shoegaze-styled feel of both of those songs, they're both two of my favorites as well. Desperate Times is definitely my favorite of Howard's work with the band, but as for Jesse... this, Embrace the Journey, and The Element of One are my favorites of his.

This really is a heart breaking song. The harmonies within it are beautiful, but very haunting. You can definitely feel the pain Jesse was dealing with when they were working on the album.

This song fucking slays. It's crazy how many different tempo's it has and jesse's vocals on here are just ridiculous. One thing I really love about this album is how much soul it has. Jesse really went all out with his song writing for this album and it's safe to say killswitch isn't even close to done. I'm hoping for at least 3 more albums.
