I remember very vividly when i first listened to this. He ask her if she lost something. She replied " O yes YOU have lost something." The wording was interesting and alarming. I don't know why but I instantly thought he was going to die in that moment. then she says "you've lost your life" and you can hear a gunshot. Gave me goosebumps and still does every listen. I haven't met anyone who really payed attention to this track in the album.

I was in japan, in line at disneyland. I checked my phone and saw the album dropped. I put my headphones on and completely forgot that i was in an amusement park in a foreign country lol. This album will always be synonymous to that japan trip i took in ‘17.

here's my interpretation for what it's worth. The blind lady is Kendrick's subconscious. This is supported by the lady referring to herself and kendrick as the same person. It's lost something and is quite unable to find it by itself (the blindness). He feels depressed and hollow on the inside and isn't quite sure why. The conscious (kendrick) recognizes this and digs deep inside and confronts the subconscious himself to try to figure it out but is shot down and is prevented from seeking further answers.

Kendrick cant decide(neither can I) if this world is falling apart because of wickedness (the lady killing him) or weekness ( kendrick being vulnerable and offering to help the lady). Responding to the OP: I think we sometimes associate being kind and feeling for others as weakness, because it puts us in a vulnerable position. And sometimes that vulnerability will make us a target to getting hurt, which we put side to side with weakness. So the only way to never getting hurt is only looking out for oneself and being cold and shielded from others, and since we can't be hurt this way, we see it as being strong, because strong people don't get hurt.
But... the true strong person is the one who's willing to risk getting hurt in order to help someone, and is the weak who cowards and cares only for himself.
So, is it wickedness or is it weakness?
I think it's maybe both. Or neither. I think wickedness exists because of weakness. I am weak. And so I'm tempted to be wicked. Because it's easier. It makes me feel safe. What I really am is scared. Scared to live in a world I don't understand. And it's been like this since we're human. So I don't think the world's going downhill. I think we're better off than ever in human history. We just gotta keep on working.
I'm not religious, but God bless Kendrick for not beeing weak.
