I just heard this song for the first time while laying at the hotel pool in Miami, FL and I had to Shazam it to see who was singing it. Why oh why was this not a "hit" song for her? It should have been, no doubt. Glad there is this video of it. I still think it could be a "HIT" even in today's time period.

People dont understand why I love Kelly so much. Kelly was someone I saw became what she is now through my own eyes. Through it all I believe she has stayed true to herself most importantly. #PieceByPiece is one of my favorite by her currently because it speaks to how much family will turn their backs on you when they believe you could not have offered them anything at one point, but find themselves somewhere in the future wanting to be apart your now success/journey. #KellyClarkson .... This song was only released to country radio during kellys push to country music. Mr. know it all country version-dont rush-tie it up. got her a grammy nomination and a female vocalist nom at the CMA... but the song wasnt released to the more obvious more appropriate format which were adult top 40/hot AC & adult contemporary/AC radios ... it wouldve been a classic!! But I understand their reasoning, country radios are fickle, they like their songs exclusively for them and kelly was trying to break into country. That didnt last lol 😂
