Keith Whitley - I'm Losing You All Over Again Lyrics

Everywhere I turn someone reminds me of you
I remember all the things that we used to do
I think I'm over you and then
I'm losing you all over again

I smell the fragrance of your sweet perfume
It still lingers in my lonely room
I think of things that might have been
And I'm losing you all over again

It feels just like it did the day you left
Over and over I can't help myself
It seems to me no matter what I try
I'm right back where I was the day you said goodbye

I tried to go with somebody new
I changed my hangouts and the things I do
Just when I think my heart will mend
I'm losing you all over again

It feels just like it did the day you left
Over and over I can't help myself
It seems to me no matter what I try
I'm right back where I was the day you said goodbye

I tried to go with somebody new
I changed my hangouts and the things I do
Just when I think my heart will mend
I'm losing you all over
Over and over...again.

Keith Whitley I'm Losing You All Over Again Comments

This and the other 9 songs released on "Wherever You Are Tonight" (1995) were written or co-written by KW. I cannot understand why RCA never released any of these 10 songs during his lifetime. It's All Coming Back To Me Now was released, but this man had talent! I can't help but imagine RCA said something to him like "yeah, your songs aren't what we're looking for. Record this instead."

This man'svoice blends so beautifully with the instrumentation. I hear this in all his music!!! Love you Keith!!!

Sometimes can  never say goodbye. Keith will always have that effect on some heart ,I think.

  5. carol vine

This man had more talent in his little finger that the rest of  other artists vocally have in their whole bodies!!! IMO.

IT sure feels like every time Keith put his voice to music, was a special song, never anyone  better ,IMO.

  7. Roger Barrett

The studio version of this song is from Keith's album, "Wherever You Are Tonight".  It's so unlike any other Keith Whitley album that preceded it.  He wrote all 10 songs with his favorite songwriters.  There is also some string arrangements.  Such a fine album!  But this demo is also great!  Just not as heart-wrenching!

I have this album and always wondered why someone chose to put violins and a cello on a country song of Keith's. This song with actual fiddles and that steel guitar are wonderful. My favorite version.

    Roger Barrett

KarenKayAuthor WKB I guess to make it sound interesting... and make the album (Wherever You Are Tonight) sell better. My belief!

Probably you're right. Thanks for the insight.

  9. 7.3 powerstroke!

This is better than the official release I have to say.

    that oneguy

I think it's just as good as the official release just in it's own right. I prefer the hook on the official release but opinions are like assholes haha.

    Roger Barrett

    They're both good.

    Roger Barrett

7.3 powerstroke! I think both versions are great. But everyone IS entitled to his/her opinion. Not that your opinion is bad or even stupid. Matter of fact, this version is a little less heart-wrenching than the studio version. But it's good. And may God bless him!

  10. Brad Carry

Every time I listen to his music I think of all the family members I have lost in the past years. Now that he has passed it seems that all the country these days are no good anymore and they aren't like him in any way

    Roger Barrett

Brad Carry In more ways than a few, Keith Whitley was like Elvis Presley: He didn't sound like nobody, had God-given talent, was a fantastic performer, struggled with serious addiction problems and depression, lived hard and died young, and finally, is sadly missed but fondly remembered!

So very well put. I listen to lots of the old country music, but always, I come back to Keith's music. Sure wish he had been around a little longer.
