Keith Urban - Where The Blacktop Ends Lyrics
Gonna kick off my shoes
And run in bare feet
Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet
Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends
And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
I'm lookin' down the barrel of Friday night
Ridin' on a river of freeway lights
Goodbye city I'm country bound
'Til Monday rolls around
Gonna kick off my shoes
And run in bare feet
Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet
Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends
And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
Workin' in the grind is an uphill road
Punchin' that clock and carryin' that load
I bust it all week and then I'm free
The weekend belongs to me
Gonna kick off my shoes
And run in bare feet
Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet
Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends
And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
Give me some fresh air give me that farm
Give me some time with you in my arms
Far away from the hustle and the pressure and the noise
Gonna kick off my shoes
And run in bare feet
Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet
Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends
And feed my soul, you betcha
Gonna kick off my shoes
And run in bare feet
Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet
Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends
And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
Where the blacktop ends
Where the blacktop ends
Where the blacktop ends

This song brings so many memories to me
Every couple of days; for the last five years, the soundtrack of this song would pop up in my head. And it was so frustrating that I couldn't find it. Embarrassingly enough, the reason was that I had mixed the lyrics around. But I finally just went through male country singers I've listened to and FINALLY found it. XD
Back when country music was at it's height of Shania Twain, revolutionizing it to be a legit world-wide hit cross-over phenomenon/extravaganza.
This song is obviously Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine", released in 1995...
awe the memories! I was that little girl that pranced around singing this!
boring and predictable hollywood country. nice hair though
@Michael Keena Maybe now it is, but it wasn't back in 1999.
You know, for being boring and predictable, it's rather catchy with a positive and clear cut meaning behind it. And as mentioned above, for being a 90's song, a classic and better than a good portion of music produced in the industry today. Well, what's seen as popular music in today's culture that is.
Michael Keena EXCUSE ME NUH UH NO SHUSH NO STOP 🙅
Michael Keena ur wrong :) if its sooo boring then go to dif artist/genre/song.
This is the first song I knew the words to.

Mess with the speeds on this song too funny.
This man was awesome in concert!! When my husband took me to see him and Brooks & Dunn along with Toby Keith...WoW, I thought I had gone to country heaven!! I got to meet Keith right after he did a radio show live before the concert in Bristow (Manassas area), Va at the Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge (now called Jiffy Lube Live). I still have the pictures of us with Keith..I've never met another country music performer as nice & humble as he was/is. I ♥ Keith Urban!!

i couldn't remember who sang this amazing song for so long and all i could remember were the lyrics " i'm gunna kick off my shoes and run in bare feet, where the grass and the dirt, and the gravel all meet " then finally i asked my countryfied soul, and figured it out.
