She tried SO many genres (One Of The Boys was more rockisch, Teenage Dream Plastic Pop, Prism was soft pop/a tiiiiiny bit experimental (Legendary Lovers, Spiritual, Choose Your Battles)) and I feel the most fitting music was the time before she got famous. I'm not trying to be nostalgic.. it's just that to me this sound sounds most Katy Perry to me.. you can hear the same sound in her songs "Weigh Me Down", "Box", "Diamonds" and "Fingerprints".. sigh

I know. Still, i'd love to hear her going back to her roots because there was enough bubbly pop with Teenage Dream and Prism. Not that those records are bad, I think musicially they have some diamonds (E.T, Who Am I Living For?, Pearl, Grace Of God, Spiritual), but when I think of Katys signature sound.. i can't think of one because she's always doing something different. It's good to try new stuff, but it's also good do have your own sound you know? :/
