Katherine Jenkins - Angels From The Realms Of Glory Lyrics

Angels from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o'er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation's story,
Now proclaim Messiah's birth:

Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o'er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing,
Yonder shines the infant Light;

Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Sages, leave your contemplations,
Brighter visions beam afar;
Seek the great desire of nations,
Ye have seen His natal star;

Gloria, Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Though an infant now we view him,
He shall fill his Father's throne,
Gather all the nations to him;
Every knee shall then bow down:

Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Katherine Jenkins Angels From The Realms Of Glory Comments
  1. D.... P....

    This is how I imagine the Angels of Heaven sing in GLORIOUS voice to Our Heavenly Father JEHOVAH.
    With such sweet and velvet tones and pure beauty beyond belief.
    Kathryn's rendition of this superb Christmas Carol is a delight to enjoy while we remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas.
    Messiah as come to Earth to redeem his people through the name of The One True God.
    Then as a baby....
    Next time as a MIGHTY GOD.

    exarmydoc, there are lots of versions

  12. e.... ....

    The refrain is not Gloria in Escelsis Deo. The refrain is Come and Worship, Come and Worship Christ the Lord the New Born King.

    Please re-read the comment about the version sung in the UK. Katherine is from Wales, UK. There are several different tunes/lyrics to various hymns; each is lovely in its own right. I actually prefer the UK version of "Away in a Manger," to the American version (the UK version is more "musical" to my ear). :-)

    There is a hymn called Angels from the Realms of Glory, and this isn't it!! It's Angels We Have Heard on High with Bogus lyrics. The actual Angels from the Realms of Glory is getting increasingly difficult to track down as this nonsense spreads.

    Guy Conrad From sources, this is actually the tune of the song.so nothing has really changed

    AGREED. The hymn is beautiful.

  14. b.... ....

    I much prefer Dame Kiri Te Kanawa's version.

    who cares ?

    b.... ....

    @Willem van Ingen Any one who knows good singing cares.

    Shame on you ! Ugly and stupid people think it is about the singing.
    Good people think it is the message that counts.
    What you prefer is of no intrest for this world.

    "Baritone & Wilhem, you should both be ashamed of yourselves for the negative tone of your comments, Both ladies' renditions are meant to glorify God, and uplift mankind; your comments only diminish that.

    Anton - thanks so much for this upload.  Here's copy of note I sent to a friend with link to this:   "Charlie... Great to see you , for real.      Here's a classical Christmas piece I like a lot and Sheree helped me find.  The quality and purity of this girl's voice is beyond belief, and one truly gets the Glory of God vibe .  There's no way I can keep tears from coming out with this stuff!"
