A Kate Bush b-side. Doesn't that put it all into perspective?!

A shame this isn't on THE OTHER SIDES rarities collection.

And that Walk Straight Down the Middle was included on it... It's been on every release of The Sensual World except for one version of it. There was absolutely no reason that it should have been included while The Empty Bullring was excluded.

So frustrating that this superb song hasn't been included on the new remastered series.

The feel of this, ESPECIALLY the super high pitch vocal, is a THROWBACK to "lionheart". I presume this was an outtake from that as it is completely out of keeping with Never For Ever, an album where her vocals were FAR more polished and sophisticated.

steve radford this is the B side to Breathing on Never Forever.

There's loads of singers with very great technique, you hear it on the tele everyday. But no one else has this kind of magic Kate has. My favorite musicians are all male and mostly guitar players but Kate somehow became my part of my top 3.

Joanna Newsom is better. But Kate is great too

I like Joanna too but nowhere near Kate, singing, songwriting or being an artist in general.

razrv3lc everyone has their pleasures, but I’ve got to agree with you. A lot of really popular ‘quirky’ female singers do the whole Kate thing and just don’t do it well. They do their own thing well enough. But it’s not that thing that she does.

Yes, I agree. For me, her *best* three albums are her *first* three albums . "Lionheart" is my particular favourite. B-Sides such as "The Empty Bullring" and "Warm And Soothing" are brilliant . I do also have soft spots for "The Sensual World" and the first disc of "Aerial" .

LOL, My mom asked me to put on The Dreaming when I returned from the record store where I had just bought it. Couple of songs in she says, "This must be music for stoned people!" She was not a fan.
Right away I thought I am going to probably really enjoy this record, and I still do more than 35 years later. Even better if you get baked first!!

I've just bought This Woman's Work vol 1 & 2 <3! and I think my parents will soon throw me out because of this song : D
