i think you are confusing the band with some other :) Their sound is more meliflous in the latest albums.

The same old same Katatonia sound,lp after lp.Not a single shred of evolution.An aesome band in metal.Still Opeth,Amorphis and others are artists that evolve their sound.Katatonia now has 13 similar albums.

If you can't see evolution in Katatonia's work - you are deaf my friend. P.S. Katatonia is one step above all mentioned. ;)

I don't know why you would even bring up evolution in opeth evolution was their downfall and new band members,last 3 albums suck

I thought the 'simplistic' drumming on records such as tonight's decision always suited their sound best, but Daniel as you said, is very creative and made the music so much better, which is what drums are supposed to do, breathe life into the music I guess.

I wish the song had started on 4:00, Jonas was more silent, and music had more importance - I never thought I'd get tired of Jonas' vocals :S

I love Katatonia, they are unique, and the drummer is so creative.
For many years I know this band, wow they are amazing!
