Kansas - No One Together Lyrics
Centuries of backward ways, have many left behind us
Who can count the good men gone away
The fruits of all our labors have left us as we started
We've come too far to end it in a day
It seems that everything we do is wrong
Just look around and tell me what you see
Another stupid page of history
[Chorus]
No one together, No one is touching ground
Look to each other, Chaos is all around
Same situation, Nothing is really new
No one together, No one is me and you
Lo the horn of plenty is bursting at the seam
We claim to know the secrets, the answers have been found
But how can one fool make another wise
'Cause nothing's better than it used to be
To live and die is still a mystery
We take away and we give nothing back
We just consume it all and still we lack
[Chorus]
Each day passed by so quickly now
You can feel it drawing much closer now
The signs are in the faces of the people in the street
The signs are in the sound I hear
The voices filled with hate and fear
You can feel it drawing near you now
The multitudes are searching, and wandering in vain
For what they seek cannot be found in men
The truth that lies before us now is plain for all to see
To grow without is not to grow within
For in the promise is a victory
To see the way that everything should be
To feel the joy that we were meant to know
We should have realized so long ago
We're all together, Harmony will abound'
Look at each other, All that was lost is found
New situation if our direction's true
We're all together, Everyone is me and you

Tears of joy!!! I'm 64, saw them when I was 21. Thanks Raquel!! So many memories.
9 people don't know a good song when they hear it.
The best song of the last real Kansas album!
I'M GOING TO SPRAY THE ROOM. HIGHLY UNDERRATED!! SPRAY OFF. I Love These Guys. ALL Of Them!!
Genius, pure and simple.
I love Kansas there music is the best in my opinion
I want to see just one of the bands voted into the rock & roll hall fame play this! Yeah can't do it! Induct Kansas now!!!
The rock and roll hall of fame is incomplete until these guys are in it. What's the hold up!!!
Kansas didn't play the corporate game (especially Livgren who put God first in his life early on) so they were left hangin'. They're not the only ones that got snubbed by the RRHOF with each passing year. Have yet to see Thin Lizzy and War finally get in there, go figure...
I need only one girl to be my baby.
This song is what is going on RIGHT NOW.
Was at the this concert in Springfield mo. In 1981. Always appreciated how well they did their songs live
Thank God for the musical journey Kansas took us on thanks to Kerry and Walsh, tho' it was Kerry's searching for the Truth which did it and he found it!!
".....Everything in this world has a time and a place to exist and come to life."
Audio-Vision was for Kansas back then, the right time and right event to make this awesome epic song and unbelievable album, to be delivered to the world.
Bless Kansas and, and above all bless who, like me, understand and feel about Music.
God bless you all.
Over and out
Ermz ;-)
Magic!!
Music to blow out your eardrums.
Crank up the volume and let rip!!!
Kansas. I love it.
Very 1980s.
Brian Carruthers.
Thank you so much for this video.
A very appreciative Englishman.
This song pretty much sums up the state of the entire human race. Sadly, still relevant after all these years.
Kerry Livgren was a poet and an otherworldly lyricist.

A one way trip to nowhere all along

Thank you for the lyrics as they say so much!! More relevant today than back then! They were my 2nd concert, played their entire 1st Lp in order on the Masque tour, then saw Leftoverture and Monolith.I missed a few and regret it,but loved them all!!! Favorite band!!
In this song, the Yamaha DX7 internal patches "Steel Drums" and "Marimba" and sometimes synthesized orchestral strings were heard.
I'm confused : wasn't the DX7 released in the mid 80's ?
There is a lot of depth to this piece in many ways.
turn it up loud-damn nice ain't it. Kansas was just so good it boggles the mind!
Thank you Raquel.
At 5:02 Goosebumps!
Songs like this leave me speechless, Epic is an understatement!
from times of parties from Friday night to Monday morning :)
The part in 9 (0:19-0:30) and the part in alternating 8 and 7 (3:36-4:12) are so Kansas.
Bill Compeau no not Yes he said Kansas... big difference...
@Wesley Coleman Lol
Timeless, still has meaning today 36 years later. love it. love Kansas!!!
this song really stimulates your eardrums how have i not heard
this from them? haha
+Mutant Tugboat You forgot to buy Audio Visions! The best song on the album.
haha i believe it !
by far one of my favourite songs ever
Phil Ehart keeps the Kansas grove together............................Keep up
orange grove?
Yes, brother Phil is underated, but, so is the whole band, but, as this very song states, history will prove otherwise.
Ehart Is Super Underrated! I Saw Him Live Many Times and My Jaw Hit the Floor as a Drummer. Amazing!
wHAT A SONG FOR THE TROUBLED TIME WE LIVE IN. Thanks KANSAS.
seems like as relevant now,as ever.
"Lo, the horn of plenty is bursting at the seams, the harvest of the world will be your prize/ We claim to know the secrets, the answers have been found, but how can one fool make another wise?"
This lyric echoes the lyric from wayward son: If I claim to be a wiseman, it surely means that I don't know.
The Best Song of the last Album with the original Band together !
True. Amazing Stuff!
I'm a diehard Zappa fan as well as YES, Genesis, Tull, and the whole host of other great prog band, and what this one track does is blow so much of it away, except maybe the Zappa. Kansas was American, their music had muscle, but so much grace too. I keep coming back to Kansas because they're just so honest, so true. Zappa, at his core, was like this too, I think. I'm up for differing opinions on any of this.
@BrainPolice5 Nice!
Emerson Lake and Palmer, ELO, Traffic. However I agree. Can't think of anyone personally who touches Kansas original line up, which is actually their third lineup, just the one that worked so well.
At their zenith ! None compare in terms of modular musical construction and implementation .
One of my favorite tunes along with Lonely Wind, Dust in The Wind, On The Other Side, and People of The South Wind.
lol It would appear so..
Kansas rocks band and the state
I hear that, what part are you from?
Topeka Kansas
Go Scarecrows!! (now Pilots)
one of their best songs
+holmeed Top 10
Hard to choose just one, isn't it? From the first album through this one, plus the Somewhere to Elsewhere album, so many epics, and even shorter songs are beauties too.
I know right
from the lyrics i consider this a prequel sontg to miracles
We're all together, harmony will abound.
Look at each other, all that was lost is found!
Oh my God....one of my favorite songs of all time....
