Let Me clear this up i am an EXO-L and heard about this the day it happened. In my opinion,I love the fact they used this kind of song for their christmas song. Ithas that  R&B flair that goes well with their voice and its perfect for them. Besides, talking and ranting is just gonna make the song even more popular and bring more attention to EXO and SM . SO for the EXo-Ls talking about Exo and how they dont like how their not "original" with their music shutup . BEcause actual fans wouldnt necessarily care about where the background music came from as long as they sing with heart and put in lyrics we like to hear

Honestly, I feel like being disappointed in an artist buying a song is stupid. There's no reason to feel angry or disappointed or sad or whatever.
Yeah, so EXO did sing this song but in their own version. It may have the same beat, but the lyrics are completely different and it isn't even a translation. The two songs have one same rhythm, but two meanings.
SM didn't steal. They bought the song. If it was stolen, then K Michelle or whoever composed this song would have already been suing SM. That's not the case. It was bought.
But SM did compose their own set of lyrics so give them some slack, you guys.

the background music is the same with the one used for exo's song, and the reff part of this song sounds similar to the beginning part of exo's song. well, as long as SM bought it legally from the original composer, i'm totally fine with that. moreover, exo's version sounds much better imo. so, yeah, i can't complain.

SM also adapted other EXO's songs from America, like Angel (Eternally Lost) and My Turn To Cry. I think SM is good in buying songs that were sung by underground artists in the US. Good melody, RnB-ish style, and not too mainstream. It really fits in our vocalists' voices. (esp. Kyungsoo's RnB style ^^) And really, this song is one of those that's needed to be known. Not because EXO sang it, but the song itself is sooo damn good. :)

I don't see why Exo-L's are so mad about it being the same composition. Companies and artists do that all the time. Not every produced composition is hired into SM entertainment. And if you're upset about her not getting recognized for this song: 1. You are upset about the wrong thing because, just like Exo, she is not this sing's composer, she just sang on it just like Exo did. 2. Not everyone apart of the song making gets credit. You didn't hear at the end of Rihanna - diamonds "Composed and Produced by Sia" in a JYP whisper. Lyricists, background vocals, producers, composer, arrangers, etc. None of them get the recognition they deserve and that's life. It's all about the one performing it in the end who gets credit for it all. Whoo, that was a long rant

Well exo was the one whose composing their songs and sang it. SM just help them to compose and the rest are EXO was the one whose making the tunes and lyrics.

Your crazy yllana. Exo doesn't have anything to do with making the music except for singing it. Just look it up, you won't see their names anywhere but most artist buy songs.

It's actually a clause in the contract that SM artists aren't allowed to use their own compositions without the permission of SM. Self composed songs by Sm artists can also be allotted to any other band/group by the company. It's a huge disincentive. (Not sure of the veracity of the source but it seems like this is the norm)

there is nothing wrong with buying songs, but it has to be good for it to sell. Well yes i do want EXO to make their own songs but they are only on their third year, it took years for other SM artist to be able to input their own composed music into their album. Also SM sometimes wouldn't allow them since theres money involved. If they allowed the members to compose there will be less money that goes in their bank as it will go to the members.
