Judas Priest - Fire Burns Below Lyrics
Stand and face each other
Don't know what to say
But that look in your eyes
Give it all away
You can't put into words
But you don't have to say a thing
'Cause I've already heard
Give me one good reason
Why this has to be
That's all I'm asking for
Don't say that it's over
When you and I both know
The fire burns below
We've been through so much together
We've laughed and we've sometimes cried
To say our love ain't working - well we
Haven't really tried
But why let's talk things over
Love can't be bought and sold
What the future holds
Well give me one good reason
Why this has to be
I said that's all I'm asking for
Can't you see I said
You can't put out the fire down below

Judas Priest Fire Burns Below Comments
God Priest guitar solos are so good they are almost prophetic... They say Angels don't talk like us the sing in hymns. That's what priest is
Underrated
Lead guitar and vocals sound extremely similar to the hallowed be thy name vocal! 1978 vs 1982, so this one is 4 years older!
It's pretty much exactly the same notes, but they are of different lengths; you can sing with it "I'm waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime."
Can anyone else hear it or am I on crack?
This song wasn't recorded in 1978. It was recorded during the Ram It Down sessions (circa 1988), and was added to the remastered version of Stained Class as a bonus track, which came out in 2001.
This song is from the Ram it Down era 88. I wish they did not include bonus tracks from 88 on a classic like Stained Class from 78. Why was this not a bonus on Ram it Down. Race with the Devil from the 78 sessions should be on the Stained Class re issue and not on Sin after Sin. It dont make sense. Maybe just to increase sales of the re issues by adding bonus content on each one even though a lot is out of sync time wise with the album that’s being re issued.
That was a real bonus.
Amazing!
Gallien Krueger amp?
Clearly a song about VD
Dan Stromberg haaaaaa
It's almost a song from "Ram It Down".
It was recorded during the Ram It Down sessions, hence the production and overall style. It was included in the Stained Class remaster.
So many people listen to Judas Priest yet I still think they're underrated.
My Fav. The first Vinyl I purchased after getting a turntable.
The greatest. Especially live
sounds like what wasp became in the 90s
this is judas priest in 86-88
So ahead of its time...
Ths is song has one of the best solos.
Stand and face each other
Don't know what to say
But that look in your eyes
Gives it all away
You say you've got these feelings
You can't put into words
But you don't have to say a thing
'Cause I've already heard
Give me one good reason
Why this has to be
That's all I'm asking for
Don't say that it's over
When you and I both know
You can't put out this love
The fire burns below
We've been through so much together
We've laughed and we've sometimes cried
To say our love ain't working, well we
Haven't really tried
But why let's talk things over
Love can't be bought and sold
One more night together's what the future holds
What the future holds
Well, give me one good reason
Why this has to be
I said that's all I'm asking for
Can't you see I said
You can't put out the fire down below
This solo❤
I never heard this song before but it sure is awesome!
At first, I thought it was a song about hell or something because I only put attention in the music instead of lyrics. I got a little disappointed because of what the song is about but every day I love this song even more, especially the solo.
Damián Yaxchilán silly
Who’s the Mexican playing guitar
Give me one good reason this has to be
terminator, anyone?
A little bit.
I always imagined this playing over the end scene where Sarah drives down the desert highway
Yes, theres a little something a la Brad Fiedel very cool
Never heard this
What a beautiful song!
What was this from a re-issue? Def not from the original album pressing. Sounds like it was recorded from the 80s, not 1978.
Probably because they used it as a B-Side or as compilation album track
It's from the Ram it Down sessions.
and why doe sit go with the stained class pic?
@rick weller It was released as a bonus track on the 2001 remaster of Stained Class.
The strange thing is that this is an outtake from the 1988 Ram It Down sessions--even though it is included as a bonus track on the 2001 Stained Class Re-master; however, an outtake from the actual 1977 Stained Class sessions--a cover song called "Race with the Devil"--appears as a bonus track on the 2001 Sin After Sin Re-Master.
