This is the greatest love song I have ever heard, and i heard plenty. Steve Perry is the golden voice of music!!!! What this isn't Steve let me play this again. No it isn't Steve I'll be back thought it was Arnel but he's 7 years away. I must find out who sings this.

Ok i'm back so this is Steve Augeri. Well in my opinion he is heavily influence by Steve Perry. I still will say it is the greatest love song I've ever heard. Although I would be surprised if he was more than a 1 hit wonder. Somebody school me.



Ok I'm back ; and will correct myself I see this other Steve also made Beyond the Clouds which is flame also; and maybe he has others. He does kiss me softly, signs of life, We will meet again, all the way etc. The moral to the story as great as Steve Perry was the Journey has always continued just was better; and more sucessful under Steve Perry's watch.

Arnel Pineda is awesome. Steve Augeri has and had a special Journey voice. His voice fit so well in place of Perry. Arnel does too.....only slightly off thing sometimes is hearing Arnel's foreign accent in his singing.

I'll also take Van Halen's "Dreams" any day over Don't Stop Believin'.

Some people act like they don't give a sh*t whether SP comes back or not, if even for one last time, for closure, but "I" do!!! It breaks my heart that we are just left hanging, being lead on perhaps? If he's never coming back, then I need some closure, I need to be able to grieve the loss of the awesome, wonderful, talented Steve Perry. I wish Steve A. could have continued on cuz I love his voice as well and he's such a super sweet person. I love Arnel too....but as said so many times before, no one can hold a candle to Steve Perry. He was born with a gift from God and he's wasting it. I get that he's burnt out and wants a "normal" life.....but do the right thing and be honest with us first. As a die-hard Steve Perry fan, I must admit that Steve Augeri did a good job as lead singer. Arrival album is pretty good! It's a pity he lost his voice.

+John Trumbull You are correct. Steve Augeri is out and Arnel is the current lead vocal. I am not a big fan of him, to be honest. He sings well, but he is not for Journey. I respect and appreciate that the band released "Arrival", which may not be the best of the best, but it has new material and it suits Augeri's voice. So far I have only come across videos with Arnel singing the good, old Steve Perry hits, which, frankly, any other cover band can do. Either the guys are drained and cannot write songs anymore or they just care about filling their pockets with money.
I agree about loosing interest. I am not actively following Journey anymore. But I found this album and really like it!

"Loved By You".  One of the most beautifully penned songs that Jonathan Cain has ever written.  The album "Arrival" was very under-rated in my humble opinion.  This song was a much better fit for Steve Augerri's range than Journey's earlier, Perry era songs.  Thank you Andrew3886 for posting this.

This is GORGEOUS.  Augeri's delivery was perfect - a true Perry Lite.  How anyone can say that Journey was only Steve Perry is so blind and deaf to reality; it takes them all, and all are winners.

@Dear Miss Connie Thank you for your comment.  I agree with you 100% that Steve Perry could never be replaced.  Still, Steve Augerri was and is a classy guy and he had some huge shoes to fill by following Steve Perry.  In my humble opinion, Neil Schon insisting that he sing all of the Perry era hits in the original key almost destroyed his career.  Even now, as good as Arnel Pinada sings, he has started singing the Perry era songs a half step to a full step down, especially in the higher range "money shots".  Steve Perry had a rare voice, an uncanny abilility to match his live performances with his studio performances and his vocal phrasing and emotional delivery was out of this world.  It takes so much more than "just hitting the notes".  Thanks again Miss Connie and take care.

Steve Augeri did well on this song but like you I also wonder how Steve Perry would sing this song ~

Buhay Korea......The emotion Perry brought to his songs and the way he transitioned into his extended vibrato in the upper ranges tells me he could have turned this song into magic. Not to take anything away from Steve Augeri, who had a solid voice at this stage and was also a very classy individual.

As a fan of 30 plus years I do appreciate what Steve Augeri & Arnel Pineda have brought to the band, but Steve Perry, for me, IS the voice of Journey!

This is by far my most favorite Journey song, they are by far my favorite band, may they keep rocking us with bluesy ballads like this till the end of time!!!!!!!

For those who may not have known, Jeff Scott Soto replaced Augeri closing the 06 tour, massive rocker! I recommend checking him out, too! Great vocalist, if you find you like him, check out his 2003 Queen cover concert. Wow!!

It's Steve Augeri, He stepped in very silently in 1998, recording 3 cd's & left in 2006. he did well carrying on the Journey legend but wore his voice out with the vigorous touring schedule. It's a shame vocal chords aren't guitar strings that can be easily replaced.

Journey still tours with a new Phillipino singer, Arnel Pineda. You may have heard some re-recorded pieces with him you may have confused with Perry. Excellent vocalist and performer. Check him out!! They have 2 cd's w/him.

I couldn't agree more! I've seen all three live and they all are phenominal. Sadly, Augeri's voice is in bad shape from the Journey tours, for shame. have you checked out "Journey/Jeff Scott Soto soundcheck (xtended)-Tampa, Florida". He may not have been with Journey long but damn if he don't kick some tail on the songs! Another massive vocalist! He has a great concert video when he covered Queen in 2003.
