Journey - Little Girl Lyrics
It was just the month of May,
Words got in my way, girl I'm so sorry
So I'm reaching out to you,
With the hope to see you through
Just another day
Do you see
The words I'm trying to say,
But words get in my way, girl I really mean it,
Yes I warned you from the start
That I could break your heart
So girl don't stay
[Chorus:]
Ooh, ooh little girl
Ooh, ooh little girl
I'm the fool that plays the part, the one
That broke your heart,
Girl I'm so sorry, so what more can a poor boy do,
I'm reaching out to you,
So now don't you stay
[Chorus]
Shades turn red from green to blue,
What more can I do, I told you this before,
So please walk out hat door
I told you from the start
That love could break your heart,
Girl I'm so sorry, ooh ooh little girl
[Chorus]

I saw a version of this on Half Speed Mastered, Whatever that means? Huh? Remember those?
I am a lifetime Journey fan. In 1982 I was in college at Oklahoma State, was having a meal at Pizza Hut and played the flip side of a 45 by Journey and played this song. I had never heard it since it was made for a Japanese Movie. Most of the songs on that album are just instrumental. I instantly started looking for the album and eventually found it. Beautiful beautiful music.
That song is wonderful!
BEAUTIFUL
By Far The Best Song Off Dream After Dream !!
What a beatiful song
4:48 on should've been its own song.
I'm not sure if this really was the last album to feature Gregg Rolie (Or if it was actually Departure) but if it were, it almost seems haunting how fitting the song ends in relativity to his tenure in the band.
Journey did so much stuff in Japan.
I probably put myself on the fbi watchlist looking for this song. Still, totally worth it.

I love this song.
I miss hearing Journey on Top 40 Radio...
Great song, but the sound quality on this upload is terrible. Delete this.
This song is a COMPLETE masterpiece. It's too bad the band's pretty much ignored it. Grr.
And radio stations don't play it
your songs make me see life differently and make me happy, thanks to you and the group. we love you
Love that ending with the acoustic guitar and harmonica.
WishesNetwork agreed. The last minute could be its own song.
heard an interview with Steve Speaks Tampa Bay where Steve Perry said Neal insisted on this song in the remastered box set of Journey. it's the guitar and Steve's voice
I got that box set
A 3 disc limited edition
Perry could sing his frickin ass off!!!
I actually have the cassette...which is wearing out. sure wish they'd release a cd or put it on itunes. sandcastles is my fav

love it!.. does anybody has more hidden Journey/Perry treasures?? pls upload
This entire album is actually a soundtrack, but is so extremely rare and can hardly be found anywhere. This song, however, is released on CD pressings of Departure as a bonus track, along with "Natural Thing". This song is also on Spotify, but the other songs on this album are hardly findable.
+Michael L. Thanks for the info Michael!
This is to me is the best all around Journey disc. O.k. it's specialty item but nonetheless. After captured they were never the same ...
It's also on Time.
I snagged the original Japanese lp in Anchorage Alaska in '83. I treasure it still.
Dream, After Dream: As close to prog as you will ever hear Steve Perry get.

Actually, closer to Departure era. Recorded in 1980.
True. Recorded at CBS/Sony Shinanomaki Studios, Tokyo, Japan, October 13–22, 1980.
this song is so rare it can barely be found, from the infinity era
yes it is Angela, great though
You can find it on the box set and greatest hits 2. Infinity was 1978, this was on dream after dream from 1980.
It Is On The Dream After Dream Album And The B Side Of Open Arms !!
Neal Schon really kills it on this one.
