Journey - Daydream Lyrics
Shining in the silver moon,
Crystal ships are sailing to the sea.
Dreams the joys of pearls and gold,
And our angel's wings in flight unfold.
Fly, fly by my window,
Flyin' so free, yeah.
Yes, they fly, fly by my window.
Yes, those bright diamonds a-once were stone,
Rollin' down a silver stream.
Yes, those bright diamonds a-once were stone.
Sail on a silver wings of fire,
Sailing dreams beyond the silver moon.
In silver clouds that fly so high,
But can't find.
[Chorus]

Schon's guitar work is stunning!!!
In my opinion this has always been one of Journey's truly great songs. The whole "Evolution" album is really interesting, overall, even if it has always struck me as uneven. But the musical directions the band was exploring with this song and a couple others on "Evolution" are as good as anything they ever did elsewhere. In retrospect it would have been nice to see a bit more of the "prog-rock" influence in Journey's later work, good-to-great as that later work was in its own way.
beautiful beyond words.
