Serious question : Israel was declared an independent state in 1948. Jesus’ hometown was Nazareth. So why does the song say King of Israel? Israel didn’t even exist back then.

Not a hard question to answer. He was born as a descendant of the lineage of King David and an Israelite. But moreso, he is the Son of God, and the rightful king of Israel, though none of his brothers or sisters recognized him as such when he came into this world. Jesus was born when Israel existed back then and had not been been completely wiped out by the Romans.

I heard this on the radio tonight and had to look up who was singing with Josh. I was shocked to see it's Faith Hill. My ears hurt; I cringed! This rendition is AWFUL! First, their voices don't compliment each other. Second, she seemed to be concentrating more on loud than on melody. The background choir was just a totally different style that didn't fit with the song.

I thought that this was carrie underwood for the longest time... so glad I found the real song!

Carrie Underwood can actually hit high notes... she would have been a better choice to have sung this with Josh, so the high notes didn't have to be re-written out of the song (which is apparent here).

I think it would be beautiful for Josh and Carrie to sing together sometime

My mother loves Christmas music and especially this guy. We had planned a Christmas light seeing ride tonight (Thanksgiving) but she had a stroke last Friday. So I'm here with her at the hospital playing her all her favorites. Thank You Father God for giving us more time with her. WE PRAISE YOU IN ALL THINGS!!!! rough day for sure...

@John Miles I do tend to get stressful when last minute changes happen. But I've been able to hang in there. I'm with family and that is what this day is all about.

I don't usually get emotional in songs but this one makes me almost cry

They keep playing this on the radio and I think the ending is an absolute mess. Love Josh's voice, but he's pushing the high notes at the end and it's not his best quality notes. And the ending is just a disjointed, loud mess. Thank goodness they stopped the mess for the final soft notes.
