Every other actors tried to replicate the essence that Sean Connery the Original James Bond brought to the screen that was created by Ian Fleming And Albert Broccoli. Connery looked the best in Thunderball. In his 4th Bond, the most action-packed 007 outing to date, he was tan and fit and he was one sexy s.o.b.

He still probably put half of his heart into playing Bond in TB. However, he labored in You Only Live Twice. It definitely was one too many Bond films in his mind. You could hardly blame him. Starting with Dr. No in 1962, four 007 movies were released in conservative years which, in itself was amazing. Audiences have only seen 5 Bond films in THIS century! That's nearly four years between each release. Anyway, with the Bond character consuming so much of his time and not wanting to be seen as a one trick pony, it was hardly a surprise that Connery took a bow and went onto enjoy a long and prolific career. (With just a couple of detours into the world of MI6 and dry martinis).

And, yes, Tom Jones final note gets to me. I listen to this theme song from time to time.

There are two girls underwater and I have read one interview by a Christina Hayward, the other girl is Jean, possibly Jean McGrath. Anybody has any info please post because this is the best opening for any Bond. Notice that the girls have figures that would be considered "fluffy" today, but I miss this era. Try as you might, even with a 150,000,000 budget, you don't top this. Oh, and Mr. Jones, my hat is off to you!
