Finally Found this after years of searching!

Just an amazing track!!! Johnny Thunder, Don Fardon and then Tom. Nothing wrong in other great artists realising the wonder of other people's work and then putting their own 'tilt' on it. Take Joe Cocker.... I love Traffic and I love 'feelin' alright' but the Joe Cocker treatment is the one that I regularly leap around the room to.

The original is just called 'Alive' by October Country from 1966 released as a B Side to their garage single 'Big One Now', then came Johnny Thunder's 1969 version which in my opinion is the best version, but comes close to Don Fardons 1970 New Zealand number one hit version. Tom released this recently but i must say it is a very decent cover. Obviously a fucken good song if it can have so many good covers!

Stomp The Tumbarumba! You missed out the Tommy James and The Shondells version, from their 'Crimson and Clover ' album. I believe that it was recorded in 1969, slightly ahead of the Johnny Thunder version.
