He sang lots of gospel songs. "The Gospel Collection" is the best compilation of gospel recordings. It's hard to find on CD anymore, but you can download it for about 12 dollars -- 24 tracks total.

so im going to be honest here. I hate country music (sorry, i know) but i was searching this song on youtube and literally played this video for less than a second. In that second i heard something in his voice that sounded so authentic and so moving , i couldnt help but continue watching the video. He does such an amazing job adding emotion to the song.

That's what he's known for. I've heard rock musicians say they were told to study him, to watch a master know where to place the emphasis and get your attention, without yelling.

That's the first thing I think of when the famous people singers actors passed away I'm worried about their soul especially these country singers I pray that their soul is in heaven with Jesus cuz I love George Jones Conway all of them and I pray there all in heaven Jesus said one must be a born-again Christian to enter the kingdom of heaven

Same with me I walked a hard life but now I love Jesus with all my heart and ask forgiveness for all my sins along the way, I just wish I has lived a better life for God in my younger years, These songs touch my heart and make me feel God is at my side as I walk the dark roads of life. Just place my hand in the hand of Jesus the rest of my life. Thank you Jesus for my salvation and come and live in my heart and guide my steps and detection in my life. Remember God is always good and will never leave your side, thank you Jesus I love you.
