Jones, George - Flame In My Heart Lyrics

You cheated on me (you cheated me)
I tried to be fair (I tried to be fair)
But you don't believe enduring your share
But I've learned my lesson (I've learned my lesson)
And now I can say (now I can say)
The flame in my heart is dying away is dying away
Your kisses don't thrill me like they used to do
Your arms only chill me I'm glad that we're through
My heart was once yearning (my heart was once yearning)
But now I can say (now I can say)
The flame in my heart is dying away is dying away
You fool me a while (you fool me a while)
You thought you were wise (you thought you were wise)
You even believed I fell for your life
But the trick's turned on you (the trick's turned on you)
Now gladly I say (now gladly I say)
The flame in my heart is dying away is dying away
Your kisses don't thrill me...

I like this song.  Please accept Jesus as your personal savior by repenting from your own sins, converting into His name, and being saved by grace, as a God's free gift to you my friend.  Be a born-again Christian (2 Corinthians 5:17).  Read also John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, and 1 Timothy 2:5.  God bless you

it was back in 1966 and was a 10 years old boy, in Rihad, Saudi Arabia where my father worked as a doctor for an Italian Company (yes, I am 100% Italian). Well he came back from Dahran with some records, one for each kid (we were 5) all coutry music: Hank Williams, Eddy Arnold and George Jones. One of the 2 Jone's records was "George Jones and Melba Montgomery" and soon became my favorite. I still Hve all the records even if they sound awful because of all the mumps and scratches caused by sand
