Jon Pardi - Me And Jack Lyrics
Back when I was just eighteen, I met the man in black
He said Jon, "it's nice to meet you, my name is Jack"
We hung out all the time, we became good friends
We ran around, we hit the town every damn weekend
I started missin' work 'cause I was dog tired
Me and Jack don't get along no more
He's high up on the shelf while I'm lyin' on the floor
He makes me do things I've never done before
He makes me cuss, he makes me fight
Don't know what I did last night
Should've left his ass at the liquor store
Naw, me and Jack don't get along no more
I saw the girl of my dreams and man she made me nervous
I swept her off her feet, stole her heart and made her mine
She moved in and didn't like my friend Jack takin' all our time
She started gettin' jealous, said Jack's got to go
He just wouldn't leave so my girl hit the road
And me and Jack don't get along no more
He's high up on the shelf while I'm lyin' on the floor
He makes me do things I've never done before
He makes me cuss, he makes me fight
Don't know what I did last night
Should've left his ass at the liquor store
Naw, me and Jack don't get along no more
Well Jack got me in a trouble and I wound up in jail
So, I'm here doin' time 'cause he won't pay my bail
I'm gonna change my ways as soon as I get out
I'm headed for that liquor store to buy a fifth of Crown, 'cause
Me and Jack don't get along no more
He's high up on the shelf while I'm lyin' on the floor
He makes me do things I've never done before
He makes me cuss, he makes me fight
Don't know what I did last night
Should've left his ass at the liquor store
Naw, me and Jack don't get along no more
Naw, me and Jack don't get along no more
Naw, we don't

He was the warmup for Luke Bryan 2 years ago.... he played better than Luke.
Jon Pardi rocks the house we love you man
I love him so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is my favorite song forever🤩😍🥰😘🤣😂
Was expecting this song to be terrible when I seen that Rhett Akins participated in writing it, but was pleasantly surprised it turned out to be one of the best on the album.

We hung out all the time, we became good friends

Damn finally a good song made it through!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With every song JP is keeping it classic. Country legends are praising him from above for keeping classic country alive!!!
Awesome!!!🍻🤠🤩😄
This song should be more popular...real country
Funny how damn true this song is lol
I love this song!!! The most country sounding song that's been released recently, as far as I'm concerned. Release more like this one Jon!!!!
Jack and Red Bull yea 😂❤️🇺🇸
This song gets better everytime I listen to it.
I saw him for the first time last Saturday open for Dierks Bentley and he was really good .
Me too! I went to two different shows they were awesome
He reminds me of Johnny Cash in this song . John Pardi is new and old school country and l like it
Holy Hell! What a great song!!
This is a cool song,AND Jon Pardi is a very underrated singer,he’s what I think is in his dominant stage soon he will top the charts and start winning awards but I also like the idea that he’s working his way to the top
Johnny Cash vibes
Great good old country alcohol song! Jon Pardi knocks one song after the other of the park each time!
Great song
Jon, I hope you have a wonderful time at Darien Lake tonight. Be a good boy.
Who agrees that there is nothin better than some real country like Jon Pardi
Real country
Seen and heard on tour, finally released.
pardi repping cali better then thomas rhett
What about jim
See you in burgettstown brother
This song has a Dwight Yoakam vibe.
Great country-rock / rockabilly!
Wise man once said “the devil wears black and he goes by Jack”
Jon Pardi, Saving country music one song at a time!!!
Thank you Jon Pardi ... that is all
This is definitely going on John's party playlist
I love that I can listen to a new song and it feel so old school thanks Jon Pardi
Damn good song!!!
This is sounding like real country to me! He fell off for ahwile but hes back now
Good song
Tengo la duda de a cuantos mexicanos nos gusta esta maravillosa música
That drum rhythm reminds me of an Alan Jackson song, love it.
Amazing!!
This song isn't terrible, but it's at the bottom of my favorites for Jon. The percussion is stressing me out. Way too much drum for a song with this many beats per minute.
Yessss 😍🤗🤗👏🏽👏🏼👏🏼
When are you coming to Idaho??
Love song love JACK MORE... SO he went and got a bottle of crown instead... Yankees WISKEY 😂
The best part of the song is when he says that he should have lefts his ass at the liquor store
Reminds me of Alan Jackson's Jim and Jack and Hank.
THIS. THIS Is the country music I thought had died. Hell yeah Jon Pardi!
The only gay ballad you'll hear in country music is a mans love for his liquor.
Dont know if the people of Lynchburg will appreciate this song 🤣🤣🤣
I dont think I've ever been more excited for a new record. Was worth the wait!
Real country amen
I remember hearing this last july at your concert, glad You finally released it
Country music is back jack!!!
Such a fun song.
This is a great Friday night party song!
Hold your horses! I was expecting claps and snaps but all I heard was country music!
Love the traditional country sound but the lyrics suck.
Jack and I*
Now this is fuckin' country
Orange County, CA here 🙌🏼 another banger! 👍🏼
I said good God damn! Once again the California cowboy puts out a banger country song better then country boys do country....hell yeah!!!!
Plenty of Amazing country singers came from California. Dwight Yoakam and Merle Hagard to name a couple.
Hey John love this song man, keep them coming ,this song is verry clever.
Sounded like a cash song at the beginning love it !
ur next #1 right here
That’s luke combs
OMG i am so excited for Heartache Medication album
When is it released?
@John Calvin it's out now, apparently
Man this song is awesome! But then I watched some other of your videos.... please dont go "white rap"..keep it country
Justin Cooksey where does he white rap?
@1HypedVlogger I'd have to look up the song.. it was borderline
Well find the song bc ik every song by him and there isn’t one where he pulls a Jason Aldean
@1HypedVlogger well good for that! But my country music opinions are pretty biased I'll admit. Anything that sounds remotely close to pop I disregard. So I hope he keeps it real because I do like most of what I've heard so far!
Wooooow! This is Good 🎸🎻
Pure country!
Jon Padi and Midland need to go on tour. Twanging. Sounds great!
Gary Gregg they already were on tour they are both great!

I miss work because I work with a bunch of pain ass is so I had to come home and let my ass quit pay Nason thanks buddy
Jon Pardi and Midland..... Thank you boys for bringing real country back!
shane shane oh no they ain’t the only ones my dude. You need to try Texas country. There’s a whole bunch of artists just like Pardi and Midland with that traditional sound. To name a few: John Wolfe, Aaron Watson, Koe Wetzel, Cody Johnson, Casey Donahew, Bri Bagwell, Flatland Calvary, Mike Ryan. There’s more than that. You got your Kentucky dudes like Tyler Childers, Ian Noe, Sturgill Simpson, Stapleton. Then let’s not forget about Runway June or Ashley McBryde or Caitlyn Smith or Lori McKenna. we got some real traditionalist artists out here. If you haven’t heard of these guys, take a listen and I swear you’re not gonna regret it. Lmk what you think!
@Luke Owens I recognize all those names, especially the Texas guys. They are all the rage in rural Texas right now, plus the Kentucky and mainstream traditionalists
Conner Dale God I wish I lived there. I’m from Alabama and I only get Texas country through Apple Music. I’ve only been to one concert and it was Cody Johnson in Tuscaloosa. I’m trying to go see Koe Wetzel in November hopefully. But yeah, Texas is damn great and I hope I can make a trip out there sometime. Always wanted to visit Billy Bobs and Gruene Hall at the least
Thought it would be a sad one, not disappointed
Yes love it already
