This has to me my all time favorite Christmas album ever made. This and a few Charlie Brown songs.
We'd always play this when we set up the Christmas tree.

You bet! Every year of my life as far as I can Remember from the last 41 years of Christmas. Not sure when this was made but it's my greatest and oldest memory of Christmas.

Every year when me and my siblings would wake up on Christmas day, my dad would always say to us "you guys and your mom wait at the top of the stairs while I go see what's going on downstairs" Then as we came rushing down the stairs, I would always hear this song as we came to see the joyous birth of christ and the presents that Santa brought! Nothing screams Christmas like Johnny Mathis!

I can listen to this fine album any time of the year. When I am feeling down I can listen to it and 'magically' have my spirits lifted. A friend once stated it doesn't take much for 'some' people. Maybe so, but I truly love this album. To think he was only 23 when it was recorded is just amazing. Percy Faith and his orchestra put nice touches on it.

I hear that this album has been remastered. But that doesn't necessarily mean it sounds better. It depends on who did the work and how it was done. I'm curious because I love this album, but at $28.00 on amazon, that's a bit too much.

Homesick for sure now...Listened to this during Christmas time with my parents.  They would put the album along with many others on the turn table which was inside an old console radio/record player.  Miss those days.  Wish my parents were still around.
