He is just amazing. He can sing anything and it sounds like the first time. He is an artist in every sense of the word. I have been privileged to see him 4 times in concert and he never fails to prove why is The Best ever. God bless John Mathis.

@Heart2Heart76 - well i was really quite young at the time- very- and my sister did not keep on listening to him solely- so I had no reference point- as I got older - I lost track- as I may have said- i 'reconnected' at an important time- and while I wish I could go back- very happy to able to hear all this now and appreciate him. thanks for sharing.

@Heart2Heart76 - I remember hearing my sister's JM records in the50's, specifically the album covers of Tender is the Night and Heavenly- but being younger- set off in a different direction- - later, when I came 'back', was amazed to see who that young 'boy/man' - grew to be. I think he was in the recesses of my love of song while not knowing it- not quite making the connection- but adoring it-I loved A Certain Smile, the movie ,and those were among the first whole lyrics to a song I learned.

When I found this wonderful sharing this morning, I immediately sat down to give a comment. Then I noticed that "ReadMeReadYou" had already written exactly what I intended to write. Always loved this song. Beautiful video with wonderful photos of Johnny. Very nicely done.Thank you. It always amazes me how one can "hear" the emotion in every single song JM sings. I don't think there is another singer in my lifetime who did or can do this or ever will on a consistent basis. There is only one Johnny Mathis. Thanks again for this beautiful classic.
