Johnny Mathis - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Lyrics

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
Our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on,
Our troubles will be miles away.
Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.
Through the years we all will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

I like Johnny but I think whoever did this arrangement got it wrong. At 1:28 'miles away'... sounds like a clash to me. Bass player is playing a G# to a G but the French Horn (?) is playing an F# over the bass player's G - yak!

Now, listen to the same progression at 2:20 'Hang a shining star upon the highest bow' - this time the French Horn is playing the G in unison with that bass player. What happened? !!...
Listen to the two, one right after the other - man, that's got to be an error!
