I did this song in a talent contest with the encouragement of my dad when I was 8 years old. I don't remember how I did, but 40 years later, I hope I made my dad proud

My mom used to sing this to me when I was a kid. I still feel sad when I hear it. I enjoy Johnny's version and I liked Elvis's version too.

My grandfather sings this to me sometimes now..when I was younger he sang this to me every night to put me to sleep.. I love this song... And my grandfather... I will always remember this!

My dog's gone today, and now I listen to this song and tears fall from my eyes. Greta was his name and was my faithful companion for 14 years. A cardiac arrest took her away from me, but as is said in the song, if dogs have a Heaven, there's one thing I know, Greta has a wonderful home. Miss you Greta, you always be my short lady.
