This was one of two songs Cash recorded during his final visit to a recording studio, 2 weeks before his death. I love the fact that this last recording is full of humor - OK, gallows humor, but still humor - plus it swings. Anyone who thinks Cash's final works were all depressing should be played this.
Even the last song he ever wrote was a master piece. R.I.P Mr. Cash. Much respect to you. I'm 14 and he's my favorite musician/artist. His music speaks to me in ways no one else's music does. I wear black in memory of him a lot. Some people say I'm mocking him, but in my opinion it's in memory of him and paying my respects. Because I agree with him on the reasons why he wore the black. I have my own reasons why I wear it as well. I know most people probably won't care about what I said but God bless ya Johnny Cash. You've been a great role model to me.
I'm with you man! I'm 16, and although I don't wear black all the time, JC is by far my favorite artist. His music really captures the joys and sorrows in life.
