Johnny Cash - I Don't Hurt Anymore Lyrics
It don't hurt anymore
All my teardrops have dried
No more walkin' the floor
With that burnin' inside
Just to think it could be
And at last I am free
I don't hurt anymore
No use to deny I wanted to die
The day you said we were through
But now that I find you're out of my mind
I can't believe that it's true
I've forgotten somehow
That I cared so before
And it's wonderful now
No use to deny I wanted to die
The day you said we were through
But now that I find you're out of my mind
I can't believe that it's true
I've forgotten somehow
That I cared so before
And it's wonderful now
I don't hurt anymore

Logan's credits passed on the perfect chance to play this song
Just getting out of a relationship. J Cash rocks
Ezra M the only real way to get over someone
This shit hurts like a bitch that’s how I know it’s real.
This is sad to listen to. He can barely sing
Collin Mason he kept going until the very last days
I get your sentiment, but he’s singing like a fucking champ here.
@Garrett Agreed. He still had it. Some actually PREFER the old raspy voice of John which is something I can't argue much about. He sounds more experienced and matured. Gives a real edge to the songs if you ask me. More emotion. I still love his old stuff though don't get me wrong.
Johnny I wish you hadn't died :(
I have never heard this by him before. It's just awesome. You can sure hear the age in his voice but it still sounds great.
"the age in his voice" is what made it so special.
Love both Hank's versions and this one too. This song is just beautiful.
Is the guitar a Gibson J45? I played one once and it sounded very similar. I've always wanted to own one since.
Just a good song, who ever said it's trash is a dumbass who has no life. only for people that have taste in music will like it, most of them will
"Good"? it's fucking great.
Damn, I really like hans's version, but you can't beat old cash's voice
sry 4 mi grmr
Fantastic I used to play this with Dave Shannon gob bless him,

an American treasure.
What a wonderful song. What else can you say?
well, then we are two
im here cos of GTA V .... :D
yeah, now you didnt hurt anymore! RIP Johnny Cash! My idol <3
so gut ._.
A MORON FRENCH..!! M J OMG..!!
What a pointless reply, lol. If you want to argue phonetics, count me out.
It was a shitty statement, pointless and half witted. If you can't see why comparing the impact the deaths of two great performers had on you as stupid, then shame on you.(Especially used as a roundabout way to compliment one of them.) I however will go on to think that the comment was idiotic, and disrespectful.
I think you misread something..
I don't know how you can say that. The OP states that he felt more toward Johnny Cash than MJ. That isn't an opinion. It's a fact. If OP said, "Johnny Cash is a better musician than MJ." That is an opinion. How do you know what the OP felt in 2003? Also the statement isn't "pointless". It is the OP's statement towards their feelings toward a wonderful man and musician. It was an expression that leads you to believe that even though they hold MJ in a high regard, they hold Johnny Cash higher.
I'd imagine that it would be true, given that it was his opinion, and still is. Does that make it any less pointless and stupid? Remember that Cash also died old, comparing him to someone dying young is even denser; people like you and the OP shame Johnny Cash.
Someone with better musical expertise than I should make a tab for the lead guitar parts for me please. The solo sounds wonderful.
How? I think this is an appropriate thing to say because its damn true!
What a pointless thing to say.
That is a great tune written by one of Canada's under rated country artists..
Mr Cash does a super job of singing it here.
Johnny will certainly be missed..
Our loss is heavens gain...may God Bless!
Rip Johnny & June & Mr. Snow.
...how could you compare this two great mens dying??!
Telling someone to commit suicide is a felony in most states and if they actually do it you could be charged with man slaughter.
hank Williams sr. and johnny cash are the reasons i started listening to country music and started playing it.and my little boys sing hank sr and johnny with me nearly every day..
lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve JRC!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111
someone just had to ruin it
Cash always reminds me of my grand dad. RIP...both of you...
I want this played at my funeral.
theres a reason there are zero dislikes.
CASH = The best.
I'm with you!
Love it :)
It's not a competition.
Or at least, it's not one in which anyone would want to compete.
leaves a lump in yer throat, Scottish fan here
ZERO dislikes... beacuse Cash is King.
He used to hurt.
Now that he's in a better place.
He don't hurt anymore.
The only reason why I listen to the great Johnny Cash is because although famous and eminent beyond measure; he still kept Jesus # 1 in his life. That is hard to do. Now Michael Jackson was a great singer and dancer, but the poor man didn't give the glory to Jesus. Mr. Cash was definitively a brother in Christ to me too.=]
Johnny is not resting in peace; he is singing in heaven. :]
i wish this song was true for me..
love this video it makes me wanna cry
Johnny Cash did more for music the Micheal Jackson.
...in my opinion
Johnny♥♥♥♥♥♥
@RubicsCubeProduction For me that would be because Johnny actually had an emotional meaning for me - he was a brother in Christ to me. But Michael was just a really famous guy.
One of the greatest country songs of all time. 20 weeks at #1 for Hank Snow in 1954. Johnny Cash does an excellent rendition on this timeless song. As he always does.
@RubicsCubeProduction because, personally i never cared about MJ
but Johnny Cash was amazing
me too r.i.p
great song
@TheSlowRabbit LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Johnny Cash will always be an Amercian Hero, a real American "Cowboy".
Just amazing..
@RubicsCubeProduction of course it did man, cash has way more prestige and way more classics!, with all do respect to MJ...
Beautiful.....speechless
RIP Johnny
