From what Mellencamp said at the time that the record company almost didn't release this album and thought about dropping him in 1982. He said they thought it was trash. He talk them into going ahead and releasing it. If it wasn't released we never would have heard of John Mellencamp. The one the best albums of the 80's.

Thank you. This song has been running through my mind the better part of 2 weeks now. John was always my favorite artist wile I grew up in the 1980's.

I like many of the 70s and 80s like Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, hairbands of all kinds, Springsteen, but Mellencamp is my favorite. Not too many people I know know this song just because it never seemed to be a big hit. Nonetheless, a great song. Its one of my favorites, but then again I have many, and whats amazing, is some of the songs I like best are the songs no one knows of.
