John Lennon - Ya Ya Lyrics
Well, I'm sittin' in the la la
Waitin' for my ya ya, ah ha
I'm sittin' in the la la
Waitin' for the ya ya, ah ha
But I don't believe she's comin', no, no
Hey, baby, hurry
Don't make me worry, no
Hey, baby, hurry
Don't make me worry, ah, ah, ah
You know that I love you
Yes, I love you, ah, ah
Uh
Well, I'm sittin' in the la la
Waitin' for my ya ya, ah ha
I'm sittin' in the la la
Waitin' for the ya ya, ah, ah, ah
It may sound funny
But I don't believe she's comin', no, no
Uh, now, one time, oh
Hey, baby, hurry
Don't make me worry, no, no
Hey, baby, hurry
Don't make me worry, no, no
You know that I love you
Always thinkin' of you, yeah, yeah
Hey, hey, rock
Rock

John’s next album turned out to be Walls and Bridges, but he did include a snippet of the Levy catalogue’s “Ya-Ya,” with Julian accompanying his dad on the drums, tagged onto the end.
@Multi Strickland Yes
Oh thank you. I thought this was Julian playing drums. This was too advanced.
You forgot to add that Phil Spector smashed up the recording studio and got him and John banned. Also, Spector fired a gun in the said studio and just missed Lennon. The coma bit was because he was high on drugs and had a car crash! The interesting thing about all this was that Lennon was sued in regard to the tapes and lost, but counter sued and won a high settlement then he lost! This win made Lennon more determined to get his 'green card', which he finally did (read Pet Brown's book for a fuller explanation)
@Danny Vine I got the information from the book, if by the "book" you mean "The Love You Make" a collaborative book by Steven Gaines and Peter Brown
Yes, that is the book. The information was also in May Pang's book - "Loving John"
Brilliant!!!
The most blues album of John
Love it!!!
I remember cruising around in my dads delta 88 listening to this album on cassette tape.
Loved this album!
my1after909 I agree
Featuring An 11 year old Julian Lennon on drums!
Julian mentioned that in an interview.
@KBOB No, it's this one.
So, on the original LP of "Walls and Bridges," where it says "YA YA starring Julian Lennon on Drums and Dad on Piano and Vocals" - are you saying that's incorrect?
@Anca820 No you moron It's The W&B version
Anca820 check the list of musicians on Wiki you moron...it's on Walls and Bridges that Julian played. The short version of barely 1 minute 10.
Great cover!
