John Lennon - I Found Out Lyrics

I told you before, stay away from my door
Don't give me that brother, brother, brother, brother
The freaks on the phone, won't leave me alone
So don't give me that brother, brother, brother, brother No!
I, I found out!
I, I found out!

Now that I showed you what I been through
Don't take nobody's word what you can do
There ain't no Jesus gonna come from the sky
Now that I found out I know I can cry

I, I found out!
I, I found out!

Some of you sitting there with your cock in your hand
Don't get you nowhere don't make you a man
I heard something 'bout my Ma and my Pa
They didn't want me so they made me a star

I, I found out!
I, I found out!

Old Hare Krishna got nothing on you
Just keep you crazy with nothing to do
Keep you occupied with pie in the sky
There ain't no guru who can see through your eyes

I, I found out!
I, I found out!

I seen through junkies, I been through it all
I seen religion from Jesus to Paul
Don't let them fool you with dope and cocaine
No one can harm you, feel your own pain

I, I found out!
I, I found this out!
I, I found out!

John Lennon I Found Out Comments
  1. Michael Sieger

“I’ve seen religion from Jesus to Paul.”
    What a hilarious double entendre.

  2. harrpoe

Filthy flippin production by Phil the Killer Specter...Brilliant!!!! Lennon was a genius!

  3. Rix504

John was all "peace and love" and shit but when he went salty the angst really came out. He was both Human and God all at once. Angry John is my favorite John.

  4. CARLOS EUGENIO CARLOS

soo underrated masterpiece! John was a really badass musican!

  5. Dadisalive Andwell

This song is so spot on! I had forgotten about it. Heard it on Mrs Maisel.

John Lennon est super beau !

  9. Lel K

    The grit of John's voice,
    Ringo's drumming,
    Klaus' bass,
The honest explicitly of the lyrics,
    Fucking Beautiful.

  14. mma 1st

Just so gritty and real i love it!

  15. THANATOS FANATICOS

    John loves it tho

  16. Paul Cross

As a trio they were one hell of a unit.

  17. Tim Francis

I read that John Lennon was going through Primal Therapy ( a lot of screaming on these tracks), around the time that he recorded this fantastic Punk version of the Beatles. It has all the Lennon tropes and obsessions, God, his parents, fame, drugs, disillusionment everywhere. He never had the capacity to let go of a severely traumatized childhood. He inflicted the same fate on his own older son Julian and sang about it throughout his tragically short life. His music was what saved the Beatles from being just another Rock band.

  18. Chris Efthymiou

THE PRICE OF BEING IN SHOWBIZ. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU WITH DOPE & CICAINE. JOHN SWITCHING OFF AND DEALING WITH HIS OWN REALITIES.

  19. PAUL JACKSON

Awesome track. One of Lennons best vocal performances.

  20. George Manifase

    Ache corns

  21. George Manifase

50 acorns tied in a sack.

  22. Saulo Carvalho

This song is pure rock'n'roll! Amazing. Viva la Parresia!

  23. BilisNegra

Some of the stuff in this record was composed when he was the most on heroin he ever was. Well, he was a junkie too when recorded, and for many years to come... A raw, powerful album, but also hard to chew factoring things in. And going one album ahead, it's crazy a dude doing the worst drugs wrote Imagine.

  24. Justin Scrivner

Paul's music is light, soft, like a warm bubble bath. John's music has heart aches, grit and honesty.

    Capt. Hereditarias

@Viktor Andersen but Wild Life is Paul's solo career you bafoon

    Viktor Andersen

    @Capt. Hereditarias oh, right)

    Viktor Andersen

@Capt. Hereditarias not listening too much of Mccartney's songs 😂

    Viktor Andersen

@Capt. Hereditarias now I heard it. Sounds like a classic example of early 70s pop rock. Close to Elton John, or something like that.

    alias

Both are great. Paul certainly expresses heartache too, just differently.

  25. SellMe YourSoul

he spit some truth in the last verse

  26. Analisa Cisneros

Check out this vicious version by Detroit legend Nathaniel Meyer! https://youtu.be/prJUmn9MBPc

  27. altar964

Lennon was a miracle: he has no equal in history of music.

    alias

The man himself said he thought Paul and Yoko were his 2 equal artists (poor George and Ringo...)

    Tingen

@alias Yoko? He was blinded by love to say the least

    alias

Tingen But can we really blame him for loving someone....

    Tingen

@alias No, and I'm happy for him to have found yoko. But i don't think she was Lennon level when it comes to her art

  28. Agustin Nahuel Matera

    That bass is amazing

  29. Mateus Moreira

Guitarra do John, rasgando o espaço tempo

  30. Joe Prokhorovka

"I've seen religion from Jesus to Paul." Which Paul is the question! 'Cause it sure isn't St. Paul.

    Smash Runner

    Paul cusack of course 😂😂😂

  31. Ted

I'm just now realizing that each of the verses is about a different beatle.
    Verse1 is Paul
    Verse 2 John
    Verse 3 Ringo
    Verse 4 George

Man, John had some real demons.

    Amber Fillmore

    Yeah? Would you elaborate?
I can see what you mean in Verse 3, with George and Krishna, and I suppose Paul and drugs (did he find religion?). But I can put the first two verses together.

    Dylan Bragg

Right. And the Walrus was Paul.

  32. Odhrán

I'm pretty sure Lennon started the Industrial genre. This song is so gritty and raw it's perfect

  33. thomas herzog

This song is so tight...because of John's rhythm guitar.
Might be my least favourite track on the album.... but damn is it good

  34. John Grij

    John Lennon: Vocals, Guitar.
    Klaus Voorman: Bass.
    Ringo Starr: Drums.

    kim pisarski

Who fucking says Ringo can't play drums? Ha!

    Jeff Kahl

Ringo just kills on this one!

    Astro Gremlin

Voorman played for Nilsson, too and drew the album cover for, what was, it Revolver? On my machine, the bass is overdriving my speakers. Doesn't mean I don't love it!

    Jimbo L

Only Ringo could be the drummer on this album!

  35. JD Aeon

The late dear John Lennon was larger than life, but he really Found Out, the bullshit of mainstream belief and language... Yeah, this is us, folks, our Species and it is the very best we can do! Most people go from cradle to grave as blind as a bat & dumber than a second-coating of paint... They serve either willful Ignorance or intellectual Dishonesty, Lennon calls out all the bullshit / rubbish of our Species in this tune, he's sorry that he had to be the one to tell us in his time, but folks, we all get to find out sooner or later, either in this life or in the next... We all evolve! I love John Lennon's works! Laroye, Lennon! Cheers!

  36. vash elray

    1:43-2:06 I feel it building

  37. João Lendo

"I've see religion from Jesus to Paul" Johnny Boy

  38. Christopher Kenel

    Raw genius

  39. Jack Straw

I'm not crazy about his solo work, but damn I love this song. This shit is DIRTY!

  40. Andrew Brooks

Klaus Voorman's bass is fantastic. Could Paul McCartney have done better ?

    Julio Cesar Rodriguez Campos

of course my bro...Paul is McCartney..... and nobody like him....ever!!!

  41. Kunisake

  42. Brett Weary

Can not Wait to hear this Great Album Remixed

  43. John Furst

Love John's scratchy rhythm guitar drive on this song. Ringo and Klaus kick ass too

  44. Alexander Golke

This song is so tight...because of John's rhythm guitar.

    Robert Smale

It is so Marc Bolan, or Marc Bolan is so this. ; )

  45. St. Beatles

I feel like this would be a good song for some sort of existential crisis 😂

    Jackman The4th

hmmmm its almost like it is😂

    St. Beatles

Jackman The4th More like a crisis of faith if anything 😂

    mrs.perkins.

    His "Primal Scream" therapy album....

  46. Jesse Romero

    Paul would agree.

  47. Jesse Romero

I think this was one of John's worst songs lyrically.

    Matt Drummond

osvie01 George's album was the best in my opinion

    Andrew Brooks

@osvie01 This album is genius, but don't forget "All Things Must Pass".

    Roger Darby

@Jack Straw those of you who sit with someone dick in yo mouth

    Vincent Beltrame

Love the sense of urgency or emergency on the whoLe album.A major masteRpiece.Thank you John for going thgrough primal scream therapy and delivering quite an album about it.

    mrs.perkins.

    I have the original 💗

  51. Jenna Mitchel

    Brilliant!

  52. backpages98

Yet another example of Ringo's brilliant drumming

    SteveFrench

@kmlgraph Because Ringo is certainly not "one of the great rock drummers"

He did get better later on though, he did good on this album.

    Judy Ledbetter

You Go Ringo!!! 😀 💘 Him. God Bless.

    Tycho

@kmlgraph He does from other drummers though.

    Miles Gibson

@SteveFrench Technically, no. But he's one of the most consistently interesting drummers. An incredible ear. It's a little like comparing Paul McCartney to bassists who slap the fuck out of their strings at sixteen notes per second. Yawn.

    patrik arthur

The drums in this album was very innovative in those years. I know because I lived that time. Thanks Ringo

  53. RadioGuy

Might be my least favourite track on the album.... but damn is it good

    Hippiekinkster

... and it's my favorite! At least we can agree we both have excellent taste, yeah?

    RadioGuy

    @Hippiekinkster ye

    Vincent Beltrame

    Keep it to yourself

  54. Rod Turner

    Love Ringo,s drumming.

    Jackman The4th

@osvie01 Ringo just says his favorite song he played the drums on is Rain, I think he's done better, but I still love rain

    Kunisake

So that's actually Ringo? How long did he work with John?

    Jackman The4th

Kunisake The Artist I’m pretty sure ringo only played on this album for John. I know that ringo played drums on songs for George harrison’s “all things must pass” album too

    Rod Turner

He worked with John on his first album Plastic ono band. and Yoko,s first [email protected]

  55. Dr. Robert T. Mullane III

There's a great void in our world, in our hearts since John left us. Well, here he presents himself naked as a baby. Immortal

  56. Cody MacCarroll

This song is freaking filthy, in the best way possible

    gary hynes

    Pure filth.

  57. Joe Mack

I know this isn't related. One of Johns best songs-Imagine.I read up on it today and it was fsscinating. He had a vision of world peace where everyone could live together in peace.Alot was mentioned about Imagine after 9/11.Also something about Time Square-billboards.They are even operating today. What did John want to do at age 60?He wanted to write children's books.Imagine still has an impact today.A mighty powerful song composed by a brilliant genius. All about ??? with powerful words.Still has an impact after 47 years.Happy 78th b-day.Keep composing those songs!!Live on,man.😁

    JeromeHattKronen1664

maybe bigger genius than einstein i'd say. Actually both John and Albert had similar ideas about how things should be done, and both were hated by authorities

  58. JStarStar00

Nirvana should have covered this whole album.

    delinthefelon

    @Anthony piss off cake

    Scarabyte

delinthefelon Change your profile picture if you’re gonna speak to people that way for no reason, Michael would be ashamed.

  61. AladdinSaneNYC

The song: great! The bass and percussion are incredibly tight! 👍 ♐

    Joshua Michel

AladdinSaneNYC That’s actually Ringo on the drums on this album. Only the best

    Jb88

the driving bass really makes the song for me!

    Mary Salvi

@Jb88 yeah, I'm obsessed Klaus Voormann - there is a 1-12 short clips with him talking about playing on this album and loving playing with Ringo!! What a sweet man. He, Klaus loves this album for it's pure simplicity of the music. : )

  62. I AM THE SHED

All The Songs on this record could of been on the "WHITE ALBUM" but never were concidered that good! Peace out THE SHED!

    EmileGilbert

Only 'Look at Me' dates back to the White Album. He probably scrapped it because he had similar songs at the time in the same fingerpicking style.

    Iamhereblossom

I dont think they would have fit well in that album. They work so well together as a standalone Lennon Album. It's all so intimate and personal.

  63. Gega KS

    John, genius ! Great song.

  64. Michael Gallant

    For Sean...#9

  65. The flah duck drinker

    John lennon is beautifull
