John Lennon - Ain't That A Shame Lyrics

You made me cry
When you said goodbye
Ain't that a shame?
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame

You broke my heart
When you said, "We part"
Ain't that a shame?
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame

Boogie, babe

Ain't that a shame?
Ain't that a shame?
Look out

Farewell, goodbye
Although I'll cry
Ain't that a shame?
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame

Boogie, babe

Ain't that a shame?
Ain't that a shame?

You made me cry
When you said goodbye
Ain't that a shame?
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame

"Ain't That a Shame" (written by Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew ) was the first song that John Lennon learned to play. He later covered it on the album Rock 'n' Roll (1975). Lennon's version is also the opening track on the 2007 tribute album Goin' Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino (Vanguard Records).

Fellow Beatles member Paul McCartney has also recorded the song on multiple occasions; first in 1988 on Снова в СССР, then in 1990 on Tripping the Live Fantastic. The latter was recorded live during his world tour.

Man I thought this version would be amazing with Lennon’s voice but I really hate all the fills and the speed up of the song. I liked Paul’s 94 version I wish it was the same beat with Lennon’s voice

+Dreamer But Not The Only One no I love Lennons rough voice in this. it's the fills and general music in the back I don't like. just would of been a better song without it

I love this, but it is actually a Fats Domino song. Check it out.

@Welhy Nole I thought so too. I love that he covered it, but I'd rather listen to the original
