I was born in Liverpool in 1952.

Every building and street seemed coal dust black, but kids played regardless. We listened to that early Elvis stuff and life seemed endless. I reached my teenage years in 1962 when the Merseybeat was starting out. Then, just as night fell one evening I heard my first Beatles track - Love Me Do and everything changed. Beatlemania had begun.

Now I'm an old man , almost 70 years old and I look back to those early Beatle years and am proud to say, I was there when time stopped.

Poor, skinny, ice on the windows, tin bath, no car, no fridge, no mobiles, no central heating, coats on shared beds, but healthy and happy. Then came the Beatles and I'd spend my pre teen years running up the street singing I Want To Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, and Twist And Shout (my favourite). Happy days indeed.

John i teach my 3 yr old grandson to love your music , and he does. This is one of our favorites. I was born 4/10/70. The day the Beatles broke up. My dad was your biggest fan. I grew up listening to you. Your music has been the soundtrack of my life. Always there for me. As i played dolls, swam in the pool , kissed a boy or 2, comfy me when my parents divorced. Was there when i had good days and drove in the car. Sad times when I lost loved ones. Your music was at my wedding and when i had my babies. In my recovery from cancer i did music therepy and watching the wheels was the 1st song i heard after surgery. So this is Christmas plays in my house each year i put up my tree. Your music played as i buried my dad.. Now as i dance with my grandson i hope your music always stays in his heart. 4 generations that loved not only your music but your message and spirit. I want you to make love not war i know you heard it before.
