John Frusciante - Usually Just A T-Shirt: Untitled #2 Lyrics
Shadows been word
One win a hand
To sell it thru their thick little back let clock,
It's a,
It's a passage way to drive, walk or run thru,
I except what didn't happen just now to just happened
To just hear me up, part of the quan skies one.
And body betrayls that's design by the shadows
Now that forward or up or down climb to top
It's the bottom so there is no rush,
And you don't get tired,
Just knows, when it burn the creeves that's around you
Trying to pretend,
Burrying it wherever it grooves itself to the rage life
That balance,
I've been followed and i've been so wrong
Mistakenly killed for being so thin
I can flip inside out
The song of trash that can rise in depression,
It's closing
Love
So it grooves
I assume that whenever slides in her own ground spending life
So you flip each day to the night
That holds you soft in position
Folding pain tightly so it knows what it means
For it silent vowels to be all that bleeds
Like you knows the sided
Or what it needs to keep trying
And it didn't mean to be N I A P
My body is light
Cuz the way of whatever carring me thru the weak traps around
That bleed
I've stepped anyway not falling my being my way to be
I'll never go empty for fex to have thee
Sitting around feels like running and crowds
Dangle me from their thighs widely cross where life is here
Cuz my love is crying
I'll share the way i've lost
Cuz i'm a pretend me
And i'm real cuz i can hit me softly
Bleed
Blood i can hear
Cuz i'm here now and it's far from me
Fall back into the ground
Flip dive to it's holes
Burring the all thing ?? unimportent
As long as i'm giving the things that swirls
Like selling dreams to cannabis
Telling too to jump free.

JF, I jam to this on the regular since age 13. Just sayen.
19:38 "the world is just a sphere, no bigger than the balls you suck" - John Frusciante
Im a huge fan of John.. I get that he was high af on heroin when he made this album. At first listen I thought.. this sounds so weird.. like a cat hissing non stop.. but I gave this album a listen through 3.. or 4 more times and thought.. this is such a beautiful masterpiece. Thanks for such an amazing album John
I bought this in 1994 on CD, now it is imprinted in my DNA.
Disc 3 is basically Smiles from the streets you hold album
Este tipo fué y es un genio. Uno de los mejores guitarristas en pleno siglo XXI. Admirable
soul removal
https://youtu.be/auB-WfKVxOY at some points the vocal style is similar
I m at minute ten and i don t know i ve been missing this for 28 years , fucking madness it s great and horrible at the same but it s so full of feeling every note it s beautiful . It s not an album so far it s a continuous masterpiece til minute 14 at least xD
"I'm happy as can be"
This is the kind of music that you don't just listen to, you experience it
Thank you
This is the most harrowing music I'll ever hear. Ironically, he wasn't using heroin when he wrote and recorded the first half of this album, but it perfectly encapsulates the insanity of opiate addiction.
Vaya , en verdad estoy obsesionado con Frusciante
Una puta obra de arte estoy drogado

I had never heard the outtakes whoa they’re sooo good, one of my favorite albums of all time
Strange time in mylife for this guys music to be coinciding..wow
Evan Ramirez it’s good for sure
Usually just a T shirt (the bonus song) is so great
This gets into the feels
Siempre amaré a John por este álbum
Amo este álbum
Playing the album in reverse is a cool trip too. Especially Curtains. The Piano parts are amazing.
I remember buying this album in 94...I was 22...everyone was expecting something similar to his work in the Chilis and we were given this masterpiece. I cant even count the hundreds of hours I've spent listening to every note of this album and Smile from the Streets you Hold. Both made a huge impact on my 20s. Cannot believe this came out 25 years ago. I've got 3 copies on cassette...2 original releases on CD before it went out of print...and 2 original vinyl.
Hauntingly beautiful
Why did Ants get included on Niandra LaDes but Usually Just A T-Shirt got left off of that disc?
He Protec
He Attac
He Crac
But Most Importantly,
He Got Himself Bac on Trac
Nice one Brandon kid
@Ben Dawson Did You Just Assume my Age?
@Brandon Callaway Absolutely
Any Frusc fan is a friend o mine
@David LeMonstre I lol'd
I like the Run Away Into You song.
Welcome back john ~ looking forward to new chilis stuff in 2020
he is fucking back
John's agony clearly reflects in his evocative voice, wow so raw and jaw-dropping 😢😱❤
Eerily beautiful, totally knocked off my socks ❤❤❤❤😍😩 I was a pre-teen when John was in this excruciating state.I m relieved to know he's doing much better now ❤❤ love him so much and his creativity.
I was unborn, well, I was born when Niandra LaDes came out (birth: December 1994 and the release in Europe was January 1995 if I remember well).
I'm so happy too, can't wait to finally see him :)
You clearly need to listen to better music
I dont understand i could connect but i dont know i think im to much overthniking
Red hot clearly sold out and I think that’s why JF left. Js
😩❤
Well, now he's back. :)
Idk that they sold out but they got too popular for him. He wanted to play the same shows they had been playing as he grew up watching them. I doupt he thought they would ever become as big as they did when he joined. It overwhelmed him I think
I forgot how much I love this! Makes me so happy
Such a unique record in the history of rock music, omg so amazing ❤❤❤😍
Some of this is just too bizarre....
Some of it is absolutely beautiful.
Ants is amazing, that descending piano line gets stuck in my head even after all these years.
I bought the cassette when this was brand new.
😍❤ how was your experience when you listened to this record for the first time?
@Raisa Cherry total shock.
Now i know how Extreme it is but going in cold was a trip.
Moments of beauty.
Moments of terror.
A lot of confusion.
I knew it wouldn't sound like the Chili's, but still.....
If RHCP were the beatles, John would be George. Not cause they are both godlike guitar players; they quit their bands, releases a double disc masterpiece and shows that they weren't even close to their full potential. (ps> the Harrison album Im talking about it's "all things must pass" - listen please.)
I've always made that comparison. Two guys who dont think of themselves as guitar gods but are. Always do what's best for the music and put the music above their own playing. Also both are very underrated song writers
Personally I think this is a masterpiece, Frusciante is a living God, I would give my life for see him performing live or even to have only the possibility to hug and tell him that his music is saving my life. Thanks John!
@Raisa Cherry I'm Italian and fortunately I have the possibility to watch him perform at Firenze Rock Festival this summer and I'm too excited! Can't wait!
Love from Italy <3
@el asi o yes man you can tell !!
You’re fucking pathetic
Masterpiece? Fucking yikes. It’s sad what being a fanboy will do to you
@Mooky Blaylock you would never have the balls to tell me this face to face little fucking hater! :')
So he killed River
Simply put this is a masterpiece. To think that we almost never got to hear any of this makes me want to hug all who told him to release it. Just think if we never heard it and then someone says, "There's an album that was written on a 4 track by John while he was on a spiritual decline. It's very dark but powerful." We would be so pissed. Luckily, we can hear it whenever we want. I play it every Monday morning on the way to methadone treatment. At 5am there is a car going through Memphis city streets with Niandra blasting at max with both my fiance and I singing it loud. Every Monday morning!!!
11:30 Adam Sandler

Welcome to the party, everybody
Thank you bro :) ❤❤
*_HEROIN IS EVERYTHING_*
oh boy, this is clipping badly
Music's mad professor
This is like bukowski poetry, horriblemente hermoso.
One of the best albums ever recorded... u don't need a studio and producer...
Solid comment bro ❤❤❤👏😊 a musician need not follow traditional path all the time.
You could put any of this to a soundtrack for a movie, I wish more people would..
Well, "Stuff" uses songs from this album
@Glut Paprykarz Very true. Love that video
Running Away into You
What a gift
Soul Removal makes me think of REM's end of the world when he starts rambling.
where is the californication tha you have in youtube i need this disc
It was unfortunately taken down due to copyright issues.
Losers of debates are often slanderous. we have a norbit. See below
Originally titled Alexandra LaDies and Usually Just a T-Shirt. The lyrics were clean and without curse words. Untitled #13 was "Home"- who has it? Grey- Alexandra LaDies and Usually Just a T-Shirt. -John Frusciante. (in Hebrew- Translated, Silver (as Grey).
este disco es una obra maestra! gracias johni madafaker frusciante ! love you <3

@Maria Belen Alvarez ok loquilla
A long time ago i found a youtube video of a band covering untitled 6/7 with drums backing. It was sooo good, but alas i have completely lost track of that video...if anyone knows what im talking about lmk please! It wasnt a live video feed, just text and a blue background i believe.
Modern Age styles, John's Peppers decade
Hey Leni. Just a quick question: why do you think Circles of You belongs to niandra sessions?
Not sure actually. Might have been written later as it was first played in early 1997.
I wonder if he remembers making any of these songs? He was falling asleep due to dope yet psychotic and up for days bc he was shooting coke and smoking crack. Ive done all of that but didn't have the money to reach his point. It must be a blur bc it was for me
this is a good record to listen on shitty laptop speakers

Listen the 2019 Niandra Lades
Masterpiece! Just like everything Frusciante is involved! Such a honest musician! The real deal, living legend \m/
I am not an expert on this man's work.
but i've yet to hear him mention any goals other than making quality music.
most popular musicians feel the need to comment extensively on social issues.
if they help in those areas; that's great.
Bill Evans was a famous jazz musician who was a long time heroin addict.
actually jazz used to be full of heroin addicts. some didn't live long.
i've been recording for years.
one of the toughest places to get to straight is that area where You take a back seat to the music.
i use weed. with a little tobacco and alcohol. even that stuff is a careful balance to not deplete my health.
i just watched a Frusciante doc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvWiNqJ8Fvk i thought it was very well done.
Thank you for all the work doing this-it's so great to hear something which focuses less on perfect studio sound and
rehearsed tightness (that's not right though-this shit is actually pretty f'n tight), and more on a personal mission quality. Cheers.
Frusciante's way of saying,"Welcome to my dark world."
I could be happy in infinity of the space in my eyelids
13:51 and 51:56 are still small masterpieces!

Me too right now/all day every night ....
Beautiful tracks from a beautiful album but I really do hope you guys are alright :)
turn around in a circle, the vpro94 interview version, years searching for it, ...anyone?
Music for musicians!
25:12 sir phsyco outro anyone? God i love that piece, its the first thing i learned after i decided to start playing.
isso é uma p... de uma obra prima.
reminds me a lot of 70's Bowie...

Este álbum produce en mi un orgasmo auditivo
Gritalo!! Soy tu papi xd
Andas pendiente del ídolo v:
It’s crazy he did big takeover😁👍
why’d you have to put a ton of ads on music you didn’t make :/
I didn't put any ads, the music is copyrighted so the record label is putting ads.
LeandroCabo ah sorry my bad
nice, this 'for air' version doesn't skips
Brilliant!!!
I get this was a moment in time. He did what he did. I’m neither judge or jury but did he think he had to sink into the dark world of drug addiction to accomplish this masterpiece? I’m just glad he still walks among us!
lmao, It's not like he thought to himself "how can I really improve my music... HAH, YES ! Isolation and heroin of course !"
No. Life is a maze, and john gradually got himself into a cul de sac, which fortunatly he then evolved out of. But in a sense this was a necessary step for him, the deep sorrow and emptiness that you hear and connect with in his music would not be there without these hellish years he went through.
He reffers to this in this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ArDkQJbVcE
Absolutely my thoughts exactly. Well put. It's difficult to express this as some confuse the message as saying "heroin makes you a better musician" which I do not think is true. I think the way you said it is far more accurate.
had a bad trip 2 this album thank u frusciante
@K-daz i can't tell if you're being sarcastic, i think it was a good idea though. ive never listened to frusciante's solo stuff before and it was a cool introduction
I guess the trip wasn't so bad after all ;)
took a buncha cough pills to this years ago, it was perfect. most recently ate 18 gs of shrooms to this. also blissful
Wow. I imagine you became his voice and ascended to the ethers during instrumentals like untitled 6 or untitled 2, must've been beautifull :D
That sounds like a horrible idea. Maybe it's just me but psychs make me really feel the people in the music. You can hear his struggle and can't help but feel that he's dieing on this album. You can hear the spirits he talks about hearing. That'd ruin it for me lol
fucking stupid
Soul removal is an amazing track. John comes in and destroys its beauty. Almost deliberately halfway through. There’s some ugly stuff on here.
where did you find all of the songs that are not in the original disc??
It's explained in the description!
@Leni thx
2019? Anyone?
Is bought her soul from any EP or is it in smile from the streets you hold? I'm pretty sure i've listened to it before, but I dont't know where
It was later released on Smile (as Well, I've Been) but recorded during the Niandra era. It's explained in the description.
I think no other record can be so beautiful and ugly at the same time
@jose de alva i agree with this 100%
You should try smiles from the streets you hold
@Pedro Paulo Ribeiro I love that album too.
Look for the album "Lóki?", by Arnaldo Baptista.
Smile from the streets you hold is uglier and is more beatiful to me now
Is this what heroin sounds like?
never ingest it by ear
No, heroin is very mellow. This is what distress and anguish sounds like when framed beautifully.
Smile is his heroin album
River and John singing and playing together on 'Soul Removal' aka 'Height Down' is one of my favorite things in the Universe <3
Rivers sweet lyrics in height down make me cry each time I play it. Beautiful songs
Well.. THIS is a fantastic idea : ) Love this album, thank you so much for sharing this !
Listening to this 4 the first time,i m blown away ❤❤❤❤😍
all time favorite piece of music as a collection
John's melodies are a gift from the heavens , I can't stop listening to , Outside Space. I guess he was trying to find his own sound away from His Hendrix influence
Especially this one 41:20
bless you
Anastasija Galbūt 😘😍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All the ads suck and wreck the flow
I know, sorry about that. I have no control over the ads as the video has copyright claims and YouTube/the Label are putting them.
Anyone know where that photo comes from? Is JF the only "artist" in the music medium? Try to draw a line between another musician and visual artists like Picasso or Dali.. it doesn't work, Froosh is the only musician you can really compare to the surrealists or Dada or anything like that
And I'm trying to recall the name of the film they made.. I know that certain lyrics on the album are partly inspired by scenes in the film.
Toni had a showing of the film a few years ago too, really wish I could see it !
'Desert in the Shape' is the name of the film. I wish they would get together and do an offical release of the album & film together..
Here's a link to John talking about the album tracks and the artwork: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFKPYmWTHgs
@rb919 Awesome thanks for that info, I see you're a true fan!
I learned guitar because of this album. I just had to learn to express myself like this. Been insane was the first song i ever learned...
Same here. This album is such a treat.
what r the odds?
I'm always is infuckingcredible guitar playing. not to mention every single other song. John is definitely one reason I play also, maybe not this album explicitly but dam...
Baszom az anyat
Really liked femininity. Give it a listen if ur getting ur feet wet with this album
actually 6;03 soul removal is named Height down just saying for people to know what title to look for
True Funk Soldier Thank you very much man!
That's right! But this is the original title as it was supposed to be released on this album - but later River's family asked John not to, that's why it was later released on Smile.
Leni why didn’t they want john to release it on the first solo album though?
@Leave me Alone I guess due to his recent death. He did release them on his next album from 1997.
🙏 Thanks for the upload boss!!!
man its really creepy at times eh
Coz John was clearly under the influence of heroin ya see 😔
Increíble trabajo Leni. Como siempre. :-)
