When I first heard this song in 2012 I thought what the fuck. This doesn't sound like the Empyrean at all. But after giving it a few second chances it has become one of my favorites, so cleverly arranged and dynamic. Not only that, but the lyrics are genuinely good advice for life, and you know it's real because it's coming from John.

it's crazy how this song changes key and mood and still everything sounds so homogeneous and harmonious.. but still ignorants can only hear the drums and "80's style" and think about "take on me" :/ .. john is a misunderstood and underrated genius for this world

I feel like his whole output since 2009 is underrated.. so many people want him to play his old style again, but I honestly think this is even few steps above, which is insane.. he just keeps better and better, yet you can´t really compare any of his different output either.
