I really miss John Denver. Saw two of his concerts in Atlanta in the early '80's. Best concerts I have ever been to.

It's a revisionist myth that the ancient Jews of Israel were all dark haired and darkish skinned. Ancient Jews were noted for having red or reddish hair (King David is a classic example). Nobody sings this song any better than John. He does this magnificently, beatifully so graceful. I love it. It does bring tears to my eyes as it brings back personal memories with him.

This is my favorite Christmas song-- Funny how they have Mary as a blond lady-- at least the lil drummer boy is authentic looking even down to the Yarmulka- or Jewish prayer cap. Hugs-- Merry Christmas.

I loved this song sience I was a littel girl and I am now 27 years old and still love this song. it makes me cry. I remember my grandma had musicial jingel bells on her door we would go threw and I would always chang the song to this one on it. I would climb in to a chair to get it or open and close the door till that song came on. lol i was only like 6 years old at the time.
