John Anderson - When It Comes To You Lyrics
If we can't get along,
we aught to be apart,
and I'm wondering where'd you
get that cold cold heart.
Sign my release.
I'm tired of being a
villian of the peace.
You've been giving me bad times,
Tell me what'd I do.
How come I always get a hard time,
Honey, when it comes to you.
Saying things that you didn't have to.
How come I always get a hard time,
You only get one life,
and this I know.
I want to get my licks
in now before I go.
Fire of love.
is dead and cold.
I got to satisfy
the hunger in my soul.
You been giving me bad times.
Tell me what'd I do.
How come I always get a hard time,
Honey when it comes to you.
Saying things that you didn't have to.
If we can't get along.
we aught to be a part,
and I'm wondering where'd you
get that cold cold heart.
Set me free.
Sign my release.
I'm tired of being a
villian of the peace.
You been giving me bad times.
Tell me what'd I do.
How come I always get a hard time,
Honey when it comes to you
Saying things that you didn't have to.
How come I always get a hard time,
Honey when it comes to you.
How come I always get a hard time,
Honey when it comes to you.

No matter what song John does it always great my brother

I miss 90s country!
Dawn me yo
Great song, cringy video.
Waylon could have made this a huge hit too
His voice is so sexy
Now I know how to tell her what I feel. Thankyou John!
My Lord that resonator guitar... Mmm mmm
Don't like most covers, this is an exception, and recognition to DIRE STRAITS, Nice cover!
I was 21 when this album came out. In the Military and traveling the country. The new "line dance " craze was happening and the country bars were packed. Every weekend a party. Those were the best days of my life. Now. They are all gone. Like the passing wind.
Is he a pilgrim or something? Much respect tho.
Dire Straits cover this song, Great tipical country song and voice
Always the best song when in pain.
Mark Knopfler, formerly of Dire Straits, on guitar. Earlier, Mark made a couple of trips to Sheffield, Alabama. The first was to record Dire Straits second album, Communiqué. It was actually recorded in the Bahamas but mixed and produced at Muscle Shoals Sound. Second time was to play guitar for Bob Dylan on his Long Train Coming album.
Coming across i20 in texas 72 ft long 80k lbs strollin to this about 80mph lol
mark knopfler playing guitar on this studio release then he cut it with dire straits on the album ON EVERY STREET.
Depressing how they show such fake looking plastic hot chicks and not real person. It makes the song shallow like lust instead of love. Then they sashay really gross. I like dance but not sensuality trying to turn men on. Like cheap tawdry strippers . Gross.Really detracts from the song.
That's his wife. Pretty beautiful, if you ask me.
I honestly consider Mark Knophler and Chet Atkins to be the two greatest guitarists to ever bend a string.
One of the most underrated artists in country!!! Amazing voice!!!!
Here is another of my favorite John Anderson songs he is a rare musical piece of work Love this song Love John Anderson all the way
i feel just the same....words directly from my heart right now....
top 5 of all time my favorit
I started to like John Anderson cause Knopfler, but I'm quite sure it's not good to compare this versions, they are both goods, but each one represent a feeling.
Love this man
I like this song
My man! Love love love.
John Anderson is a real country music singer and out law singer Glen in Oklahoma
John imitated Mark's voice, when he dropped the r, on 'hard'.
One of my favourite Dire Straits song from the album 'On Every Street'. This version is great but nowhere near the original with Mark Knopfler's voice and a subtle change of lyrics.
Mark Knopfler lending his deft guitarwork here, too, by the way.
This song came up on one of my Pandora stations and it took me the rest of the day to figure it out. Mark Knopfler has plenty of great songs but I think John does better on this one.
Jonathan Burden i was thinking it sounded like dire straits
Google is a great tool for finding out facts. It's a good idea to use it or another search tool before you start calling people "Dummy" when they actually have their facts correct.
+aforry24 You're right partially. Mark Knopfler wrote the song in 1991 for the album "On Every Street"
What a real song!
Haha....my mom dedicated this song to my dad right before their divorce when I was 11, and I find myself dedicating this to my husbnd, seems a divorce is not far off, 5 years of my life wasted, 3 beautiful came out of this mess though......
That's actually Mark on guitar here. There's no mistaking his style. No one sounds like Mark Knopfler.
+Robert Morgan that is not mk on the guitar he has never recorded with this band , anyway this not a hard piece for any descent player
mark knopfler wrote this song....
Mark wrote the song and it appears on Dire Straits' last album "On Every Street."
E.L. Bl/Du
I`m not sure who is stupid here. Please check again your wrong information. Mark Knopfler is write this song for John Anderson. Later the song appeared on the album Dire straits - On every street. And once again, this song is Mark Knopfler song. Obviously you do not know anything about Mark Knopfler.
well DAMN !!!!!!!!!!!!! i guess he has.

This artist and this song made me love country music. Heard it on the radio when I was having a rough time in my marriage, went straight to the music store and bought it, and played it for weeks!!!! That was the end of my marriage, the start of my life and I have loved Country ever since!
riptack heigberns
You and me both, buddy. This song is TOO accurate!
ACC's #25 song of the '92 survey year. John hit #3 in Billboard, 7-25-92. God bless you, friend, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a blessed rest of the week!
one of the best ever written & performed!
Dire Straits also did this song
If I remember correctly Mark Knopfler wrote the song.
Dire Straits is one of my favorite rock bands Money For Nothing from 1985 is my favorite from them!!!
One of my all-time favourite musicians, and I'm proud to share his name. Just wish he'd come to do some shows in England more often!
tnx for uploading this classic from vhs!
One of the best songs from the 90[s

Mark and dire straits
Cover of a Dire Straits song, written by Mark Knopfler.
Okay, we get it. It's a cover. You didn't have to add to the 15,000,000 other comments about it being a cover on here.
NO, it was not. Mark said that he wrote this with John in mind. It just sucks that they
would not show Mark playing that wicked guitar in the video. The editor eats shit and howls at the moon.
Thank you so much for posting this video, i remember seeing it when i was younger but haven't been able to find it on Youtube until now :)
Woooooo-DOGGIE!
Come on ... This is groovy.
It was on the album 'On Every Street', released in the 90's. Great album.
thats Mark Knopfler playing guitar (on the recording at least) of the song he wrote.
LOOK on Dire straits album, and under this song it says WRITTEN BY "JOHN ANDERSON" Seminole winds 80s/ Mart didnt release till the 90's
@E.L. Bl/Du ...Please see below. I was confused by this as well. Regardless of who wrote it, and which version was released first, both recordings are excellent, JMO.
