Was my Senior Prom theme in May of 1992. So many friends have passed since then. This song brings back the memory of that night, and those friends, still live in my heart. For those memories still live within me.

Used to listen to Billy and many others in the 80’s as a 6-12 year old with a boom box with some crappy head phones connected to them as I lip synced in my bed trying to fall asleep. Those headphones, you may as well had the regular ghetto blaster speakers to your ear. Sure mom had some good laughs from the next room (will have to ask her). Ha!!!

Is there anybody who knows who is the guitar player in this song?
His name is David Brown. He played lead guitar for Billy from around 1979 until around 1987. He's great. He's also played with others as well - Paul McCartney (I think), Simon & Garfunkel, Bob James are only the ones I'm aware of.
I like all of Billy's songs, but I think this is one of the best and most under-rated of all his songs. This one is definitely in my top 10! It both rings true about life and brings back great memories as well. :)

I might've listened to this song at least several times during my high school years,and I graduated a senior back in June of the year 1993.
We picked it for our senior prom song. Then they didn't play it. Apparently no one on the prom committee bothered to tell the DJ that this was supposed to be played and he didn't have it. There was almost a riot.
