Joe Walsh - Wrecking Ball Lyrics
You're wound up tight like a hairpin trigger
Just about ready to snap
You're driving 'round like a crash test dummy
All over the map
One thing leads to another
And maybe some day if you ever sleep
You're gonna wake up and discover
You live your life like a wrecking ball
Just get carried away
And then you bounce back from another close call
Live your life like a wrecking ball
You're at the table, it's the same old game
You keep on hoping that your luck will change
It hasn't happened yet
You live your life like a wrecking ball
Pretty high price to pay
And then you slam into another brick wall
Live your life like a wrecking ball
[Guitar solo]
Live your life like a wrecking ball
Pretty high price to pay
And then you slam into another brick wall
Live your life like a wrecking ball
And you know it's tough to be the last man standing
When you're crawling on the floor
You're coming in for a bumpy landing
Better circle 'round some more
You live your life like a wrecking ball
Just get carried away
Then you bounce back from another close call
Live your life like a wrecking ball

Why the covering of the all-seeing eye..? Believe me, it's not hip.

Yea man !!! Keep making music Joe. :)
I'm A Fan Of Joe Walsh Long Ago!
Sound,s familier.....FRANK MISSSSSSCHIEF... THANK You...
I was hoping this was a cover of Miley's song, was really curious to hear that
I think I like the version he did with Darryl Halls band better. The transition from chorus to verse makes the tune. Joe proves once again that simple works very very well. Too bad it doesn't pay the bills anymore.
Not that I would expect any different, but shit, what a great guitar sound.
One of my all time favorite music men....just look them in the eye and shake your head....I'm just lucky that way!!!! ;) Awesoooooooooome album!!!!
Congrats Bro~ your still with us! Thanks!

You know who ya are: Take a tip from the man who knows: Let it be said, "Joe did warn ya all...."
Get the CD with bonus track if you would like to know what this song and others are really about.
Joe, you are the Man, Tell it like it was, cousin Figel
Love everything Jeff Lynne touches.
+bronco devil I know right! Lynne is Golden!
He's still got it! Love the whole CD. We just saw him with the Eagles last month, then we're seeing him in Cincy in a couple of weeks.
Cool to hear he still tours with The Eagles.Saw him with the Eagles back in 1980;it was a awesome out door concert! That was back when you didn't have seats in the Stadium.
I'm hooked on this.... it's official
Joe's still more then an eagle
He's still an Eagle... other than that, all great :) love the song
Joe Walsh is not an Ex-Eagle, He is still an Eagle !!
NO He is a James Gang.....lets not forget all his roots....
Miley cirrus stool the name from joe walsh
@connor jones What is scarier is that you are even aware of Miley Cyrus or the crap she turns out!
You need to start hanging out with a better class of people... ;-)
And she stole the chorus from "Certain Kind of Fool" from the Desperado album, lol.
This is the TRUE Wrecking Ball! Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball is pure TRASH!!
Laughed so hard.
Miley is the BOMB!!!!!!! She's beautiful, sexy, talented and smart.
Thanks for posting
This is Joe Walsh ! EPIC !

She's a hooker! slut! whore for money!
Joe has still Got it.....Rock will never Die.....
DITTO DUDE !!
It figures that no talent CUNT, has to steal from a legend like Joe walsh! may she ROT in hell for that.
Cyrus wrecking ball is TRASH, utter crap! LONG LIVE JOE WALSH! :)
hate to admit her version is pretty good
I didn't know Joe was writing for Miley these days... (lol)
because they fucking sold out to jackasses and people like gaga and bieber! makes me sick!
this album defiantly hits the spot
i love That Slide In The Midle Of The riff
joe is a rocker from the seventies....when rock was fun
ROCKS!!!
I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal about this album. It is typical Joe Walsh music. One word to describe it would be cool, or awesome. Typical Joe. Like the line; "It's hard to be the last man standing when you're crawling on the floor." Did he make a bad album? Not in my opinion.
big big big hook!
Got it 2 hours ago , Oh Yeah ! it is Great ! . Got the Bose Crankin'
Just Ordered it @ Best Buy
Sober Joe....go figure. Well if he's rockin' stuff like this I gots ta get me some sober too!! Hey Joe, you smokin' some tree I'll bet.
Daryl's House version w/Joe blows the roof off the dump.
im back in the day with ya joe
WOW the man aint missed a beat..way to go Joe..
Watch/listen to Joe play this song on Live From Daryl's House. The best thing happening in music right now (LFDH) takes it up a notch when Joe Walsh stops by. This song comes alive in that performance; awesome, awesome stuff.
Old is better,just like wine.
Wow thank you Mr. Walsh for this gem!
I love this album, he shows us that even when you are old you still have an ounce of awesomeness in your blood.
26K views? WTF?! Joe, are we getting old? You sound as good as you did in the 70s. I've taken to calling classic rock stations to ask: "Why are you not playing Joe's new tunes?"
HAY, CANDY CANE! We saw you a few times in the 70,s at the Long Beach Arena,Ca
I must have 16 yrs. then,
I play a mighty Mandalin,Sir. Happy Hollow Day,s old Pal!1
DAMN!!!! This is a FREEKIN GREAT ALBUM!!!!
You know what, you really are lucky to have grown up in such a time where music was good. A lot of other people are hypnotized by today's standards of "music".
Have you tried corporate cereal? That sucks too!!
Of course not. It's great stuff!
Groovy Tune with good rhythm!!! Like this Tune!!!
good music does not have a time line ROCK ON
got this cd as usaul joe rocks....killer tune!!!!
I bought the album and it rocks! I also bought the solo from Peter Frampton, great too.. Two years ago I bought and went to a Concert of Doobie Brothers and they are also making new music. Unfortunately monopolies are not allowing nothing but RAP.
Now when my friends ask me what my favorite new song, album, etc. is , I finally can answer. Wish I was alive to experience songs for a dying planet's tour, but, well, he's still joe, from what I can gather:)
Interestingly it actually was on FM radio and purely by accident that I crossed its path: I let cable bill lapse, but it was a good thing as I forgot there were these AM/FM buttons on the receiver! ;) Agreed that the whole corporate thing has diluted the art form; and then with TV show that turn music into a contest, it's breeding a culture that's very different from what we knew. Not saying it's an absolute 100% thing. Clearly there are some in the newer generation that dig rock... thankfully!
Jon picked up the album about month ago. Not one bad song on this album. His best effort in years. Ashame it doesn't get the airplay it should, that you have to come to a forum like this or satellite radio to heard it and not on your local fm station. Basically modern r&b and rap rule in my area. Joe W. said it right that rock is dead in parts of the country I believe him cause NYC area is one of them.
I heard the title track the other day on radio for the first time. Going to be buying this release.
yeah, I listen to XM all day. You have to listen long and hard to catch anything that is new from an older guy like Joe.
where would they play it? On classic rock? What we used to listen to is not the mainstream anymore. My kids, who are in their 30s woulnt listen to "this shit" on a dare. They are into rap. Liste to Joe's interview on Howard Stern where he says rock and roll is dead, and I agree. Too bad, but true.
iv heard so many of these songs on serius sattalite radio on deep tracks or somthing,
just sayin'
Radio won't play it! His fans don't email, blog, tweet or wtf ever! That is the sign of Analog Man with Analog fans. And, I dig it!! (for bout 42 yrs. now!)
Instead of the high school prom, I took ma Donna to see Joe Walsh in concert. Gotta have priorities right.
this has a wilburys sound to it, love it, lol
Why doesn't this album get any radio airplay. Corporate radio, you suck,
Dude!! I don't care if this guy is old or what!! His music rocks!!!!
Joe , you have had a good life.. this is an amazing album ,, Analog man is for my sound engineer friend Jim Prowant,, he will never go digital,, haha..
hey joe awesome song you are so cool .I love this music big fan
Whenever you have the maestro Jeff Lynne writing and producing your album you are quaranteed unforgetable music. Where is Jeff's solo album. It's been promised since 2009.
not to mention ELO,bob dylan, tom petty, paul mccartney, and dozens of other megastars.its sickening that one man can be so talented,i hate him (no i dont)
Classic Joe, I like this as much as anything he's done, THANKS JOE !
Joe Walsh is our classic guitar legend just like Steve Miller is The two of them should tour together so old farts like me can complete the bucket list. I recently attended Johnny Winter, Earth wind and fire & Steve Miller. All of you should also witness a Tower of Power concert as they are in the same musician stratosphere. Little Fea,t Doobies, Los Lobos include them as well
I don't want to nit-pick, but since when is Joe Walsh an "EX" Eagle? He hasn't left the band, they're just taking the year off. Glenn did his album of old standards. Joe released this new album, and Timothy & Don are... doing whatever they're doing. Probably counting money...
Nuttin' better than good ole' Fashioned Rock n Roll from one of the BEST EVER, thanks for keepin' it alive Joe!!
I so hear the Jeff Lynne influence in this one...
Great, fun rock & roll!!
Rock on Joe & Jeff!
great riff
Stunning, just stunning
