Joe - Ghetto Child Lyrics
{All the ghettos around the world}
{Dig this}
{Ghetto Fabulous Joe}
{Shaggy}
All the children sing {Uh}
I'm a ghetto child
I'm a ghetto child (Check it, out)
There's a world out there that I wanna see
There's a man that I'm destined to be
I won't be stopped by the ghetto streets
I believe inside that I can't be beat
This life could be a ball and chain
If you let yourself get caught in the game
But I don't intend to go down that road
Just because I'm a ghetto child
I won't live down to your expectations (No, no)
Just believe that a ghetto child
Can rise in the highest celebration (Oh)
Know that I am a ghetto child
But I can see the best in me, can you
I'm a ghetto child
All the ghettos around the world, dig this
One day I'm gonna change the world
Make a better place for every boy and girl
Everyone in need, homeless families
Have a place to sleep and food to eat
I'll take every gun off the streets
So another tear won't be shed in grief
And every thug in every hood
I will make 'em change from bad to good
I believe that it can be done
Gotta start somewhere and I'm that one
All the children sing (Yeah, yeah)
All the children sing (Yeah, yeah)
Just because I'm a ghetto child
I won't live down to your expectations
Just believe that a ghetto child
Can rise in the highest celebration
Know that I am a ghetto child
But I can see the best in me, can you
I'm a ghetto child (Ooh, yeah, ooh)
{Hey, yo', look at me inna different light}
{Spare me all about those stereotypes}
Ain't no madness that'll bring me down
Gonna take this life and turn it around
{Now see, the sky's the limit, I won't be denied}
{Ain't no stoppin' me, I'm a ghetto child}
And at the end when it's said and done
We will all be singin' this ghetto song
I believe that it can be done (Yeah, oh)
Gotta start somewhere and I'm that one
All the children sing (Yeah, yeah)
All the children sing (Yeah, yeah)
Just because I'm a ghetto child
I won't live down to your expectations
Just believe that a ghetto child
Can rise in the highest celebration (Oh...oh...oh...)
Know that I am a ghetto child
But I can see the best in me, can you
I'm a ghetto child (Let's go to church now)
Just because I'm a ghetto child (Uh)
I won't live down to your expectations (Take me to
church now)
Just believe that a ghetto child (Ooh)
Can rise in the highest celebration (Hey, hey)
Know that I am a ghetto child (Ooh, yeah)
But I can see the best in me, can you
I'm a ghetto child (Hey, ghetto child,
whoa...oh...ooh...)
Just because I'm a ghetto child
I won't live down to your expectations (Sing a song
for me)
Just believe that a ghetto child (Sing a song for me)
Can rise in the highest celebration (Everybody sing it
now, yeah)
Know that I am a ghetto child
But I can see (Ooh, yeah) the best in me, can you (Oh)
I'm a ghetto child (So I can see the best in me, can
you)
It's not where you're from, it's where you're gonna be
(Hey)
It's not where you're from, it's where you're gonna be

Ghetto Child~ Joe & Shaggy. These lyrics are factual in 2019. So much needed to be heard in our improvised communities & especially for our inner city youths. (Baltimore City & South East DC on my mind). There is hope. 🙏 "Just because I'm a ghetto child I won't live down to your expectations
Just believe that a ghetto child
Can rise in the highest celebration."
Ohlalalalala ! This is good dand. I feel like I am another planet, in another space. Two of my favorites. 2019 and still in love with Joe & Shagy
I remember being in third grade riding around wit my dad he used to always play this song, good times
Did very song keep me moving n hoping it gonna b okay one, day as a ghetto child that I am , thanks to God for making me out of de ghetto, am still praying for those kids still in d ghetto that ur change is coming my Joe.
As long as "The Ghetto," doesn't exist in my 💓 heart, and as long as I have a couple of Friends, who give me their chips when I don't have any, "The Ghetto" is a Spike Lee Story that got bad reviews.
My Community/ Hood, growing up, didn't have much, but we APPRECIATED what we had.
Besides, didn't you get the memo?
The Ghetto has moved to Washington D.C.
I will not stop listen to this motivated song
I'm ghetto child 100%
17-april-2019???

_Dr. E. Michael Jones returns to discuss his piece "Soros or Cyrus: The Violent Legacy of the Black/Jewish Alliance." We talk about how Jewish support for the Civil Rights Movement was really an attempt to turn black Americans into revolutionaries. When that project failed in the late 1960s, the CIA and Hollywood went to work producing a series of "blaxploitation" films promoting criminal behavior and sexual promiscuity among black youth with the goal of destroying the already weakened black family. Later we discuss how the militarization of the country's police departments and the creation of a black "lumpenproletariat" are part of a divide-and-conquer strategy._

👍👍😃👍👍
Story of my life. I must fight 3x as hard to get what my peers get on a silver platter. I live in a world where I am judged on sight as a dangerous thug even when I enter boardrooms in a suit. My life will be a song of my constant struggle to show that I am just a man; just a man. I want the same things every person of good conscience wants - life, liberty and the pursuit of happyness, yes happyness with a "y". And while I do all I can to stay on the right side of the law and work hard towards achieving my goals, i must daily work extra hard to break barriers and obstacles because of my skin color. It is a hard world. I say this knowing that less than 5 score years ago, people that looked like me hung from trees.
You'll never know how it is like to walk in my skin.

True classic song.
On the day my people are being killed by the police in America, the U.K. Europe. Africa. You are my friends you are our children . Love. Ghetto child
I'm not defending any illegal action by the police but it's a fact that more black people are killed by their brothers and sisters than are killed by the police or whitey in general. How do you account for that and what are you going to do about it?
as long as there are racists that dont see or believe the truth and seek excuses for their own bigotry
So it's always somebody else's fault?
+Bonnie Prince Charlie walk in our shoe's for a day I bet you'll re evaluate ur way of thinking
