Ronnie Dunn could easily nail this or most other Joe Diffie songs if he were so inclined. In his prime or today, I can sing most as well. It is a great song just not the greatest showcase of Mr Diffie's range vocally, as good as it is and I do love the story and the vocals in this one so no haters please! LOL

I met Joe Diffie at FanFair in 1997...he was always one of my favorites. They should have kept all of these greats on the radio until someone worth a damn pushed them off the air, which has never yet happened.

Another one of my all-time favorite songs from the late 90's! I've always loved the video too, especially the beach scenes at sunset. That's the sort of location I always picture in my head when I hear this song, as well. I truly miss this era of country. Again, this is when country still had class and was all about pure emotion.
