Saw Joe Cocker on this tour.. w the Chris Stainton Band. SMU's Moody Coliseum Dallas, Texas January, 1972. A band called "Bang" 3-piece hard rock act was #2 in the lineup w some guy sitting on a stool and strumming an acoustic guitar while singing. Had no clue as to who he was. Sadly.. he was booed off stage. And said a few humble words in a sort of an apology. And left the stage. Cruel on the part of crowd members.. mostly upfront close to the stage. Everyone was hollering out for Joe. Then, Bang came on. Mixture between Sabbath + Zeppelin.. 3-piece. Rocked the crowd pretty much. Then, it was Joe and Co. Big band w a huge sound. Organ/piano.. lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, congas, chick back-up singers, 4-piece horn section, etc... and Joe. Approximately 12-13 (seems I remember counting 13 when @ the concert.)
