Joe Bonamassa - Walking Blues Lyrics

I woke up this mornin', feelin' round for my shoes
Know by that I got these old walkin' blues, well
Woke this mornin' feelin' round for my shoes
But you know by that, I got these old walkin' blues
Lord I feel like blowin' my old lonesome horn
Got up this mornin', my little Bernice was gone, Lord
I feel like blowin' my lonesome horn
Well I got up this mornin', whoa all I had was gone
Well, leave this mornin' if I have to, ride the blinds
I feel mistreated, and I don't mind dyin'
Leavin' this mornin', if I have to ride the blind
Babe, I've been mistreated, baby and I don't mind dyin'
Well, some people tell me that the worried blues ain't bad
Worst old feelin' I most ever had
Some people tell me that these old worried old blues ain't bad
It's the worst old feelin', I most ever had
She's got a elgin movement from her head down to her toes
Break in on a dollar most anywhere she goes
Ooh, from her head down to her toes
Lord, she break in on a dollar, most anywhere she goes

I miss the old JB, used to see him at the Redwood Run 2003 to 2006.
Before the sunglasses, suits, just young Joe jammin at a biker rally.

  3. W.... H....

Not sure what the fuss is about with Joe Bonamassa.
Decent player, decent singer. Wouldn't put it any stronger. This is a good version.

    F.... L....

Guitar players love him for the tone, not so much the technique and certainly not for the singing. Its essentially what 50,000 dollars worth of gear sounds like tweaked to perfection.

  14. j.... ....

an old classic done by everyone and done very well  go joe!!

  15. A.... K....

This reminds me Death letter blues by Son House and covered by Jack White (???)

    A.... K....

Anuma Kings 666 ya. Johnson based his Walkin blues on House’s original version of death letter.

  16. D.... D....

I used to play blues harp and sing this song 40 years ago.  Paul Butterfield did this song righteously back in the day.  Butterfield didn't have this great a guitar though.  Bonamassa is keepin' dem blues alive!

    D.... D....

Whooooooo! what about Michael Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop who played with Paul Butterfield.
Not many can hold a candle to Bloomfield, he was in a higher plain than most guitarists of his day and still is.
Joe is good but I like Michaels approach to playing, another player gone too soon, but left his mark forever.
    my thoughts.
    Peace

  17. W.... L....

    pure blues @FABTBIRDS BLUES

  18. J.... M....

  28. s.... c....

    you nailed it rube

  29. T.... ....

    Holy Moly

  30. J.... H....

Robert Johnson, the greatest blues composer of the 1930's, continues to inspire.

    J.... H....

    Learned from Son House

    J.... H....

highlander valasik He left Son House and returned to his hometown to learn from a guitarist there. Johnson developed his style playing by himself in a graveyard

  31. R.... d....

Its none of that, they just made it "not perfect" so it sounds more like a live street performance. Its not made to sound like a studio recording

  32. B.... W....

Hmm I think it's the fault of the player. Some bends are a little bit flat and the 2 draw doesn't sounds always in tune (might be coming from the embouchure). Maybe it's the harp itself that's floppy on that 2 draw. It's strange because Jon Paris totally ruled on burning hell, same album. Innovative and soulful...

  33. S.... G....

nope the harp is in tune. Not crazy about the processed guitar tone though, sounds too line6 for me

    S.... G....

your entitled to your opinion and your not wrong for having it, however, rest assured it was def NOT a LIne 6

  34. D.... K....
