Joe Bonamassa - Pain And Sorrow Lyrics
Sparkle as the tears come
They glitter as they fall
You sacrifice your love
For the wonder of it all
But I will, and you won’t
[Chorus:]
Livin’ on pain and sorrow
Until you find another way
Livin’ on pain and sorrow
Until I find another way
Where’s your silver lining?
Where’s your long lost friend?
The emptiness is shining
But I will, and you won’t
And I deal, and you don’t yeah
[Chorus 2x]
No I...go on
It’s your life baby
'Til you find another way
Go on...oh yeah
Pain and sorrow
Pain and sorrow
Pain and sorrow
Find another way

Joe Bonamassa Pain And Sorrow Comments
Wow I’m shocked really like this and I’m not a huge blues person but this rocks
But I will, and you won't - and I deal, and you don't
Watched him last Saturday, I had goosebumps the entire show
Brilliant. One of the best vibes tones I've heard.
Joey Bonermassive is the man
This reminds me of another guitar player named Terje Rypdal and his composition “To Be Continued”. This also is a face melter.
Couldn't find that one on YouTube. He's Calling by Frank Marino is another good one in the Pain and Sorrow vein.
A guitar shredding masterpiece!
I am amazed once again. Thanks Mr bonamassa.
Smoking Joe, definitely one of the better guitarists, songwriters and musicians of the new millennium. Outstanding talent
This is a damn clinic in song writing. Plain and simple. This may be pretty old by today's standards but, this will probably be the closest you will ever get to SRV AND HENDRIX Ever again.
I wish Joe would go back to playing like this. Just can't get into the new blues pop stuff she's doing now
Driving my wife's car the other evening, and she had the radio on some retro-era something.....and this
came on.....I'd never heard it before......blown away!!
I came in when he was into full single coil vibe, so I'm thinking old SRV......and then it keeps going, and going,
and going.....I almost pulled to the side of the road....blown the F away!!
When you hear this, you're hearing Hendrix, and Trower, and Marino, and SRV OVER the top....listen to how he makes the
dead-drop runs, sharps and flats.....and makes it integral......never heard anything like that.....EVER!!!!
Was always a fan of the ZZ TOPP cover, but WOW...............
He's a damn genius.
You have to wonder how many of his fans have never heard this? Should have more zeros in the view count.
they don't play this on the radio
Absolutely killer song. The influences are obvious, but still he held his own ground. I wrote 'held' because Joe lost the rage we hear long ago. He built his career and got wealthy, but he also lost a lot in the process. I miss the 'old', young Joe.
I love this song and wouldn't complain if Joe made others like it.
he grew up with his parents owning a guitar store, this is what happens when you find out who you are at an early age. God da-n .
GUITARRRRRGASM!!!
My favorite song...Hits home hard
That intro and those licks leading into the vocals will melt your face. Keeping those strings hot!
Love this song....Joe is excellent!
Joe is the man! So many different sounds and styles over the years. I am emotionally invested in this musical ride. Ride on Joe ... ride on.
This is off the hook bad ass!
Good heavens!! J. Hendrix level! That's the least i can say
The album release date is 2002
Thank you!
