Early in his career he confided to a friend and business associate
while they were fishing together on a river bank how when he was a youngster, he remembered how on a calm day he would loudly call down the river near the point of a bend, and his voice would echo back to him. "Now THAT'S
how I want MY voice to sound on my recordings!" Jim REALLY got his wish
on this one! And that vibraphone, one of Jim's favorite instruments, was piped down straight from heaven! If those
who get to heaven discover that God sounds like Jim Reeves, I doubt if anyone will be disappointed!
