Honestly, Jewel is the only singer I have seen so far that produces high quality pieces with perfect vocal performance throughout a career. I mean in terms of pop music but not classic or other genre, of course.

if you look at the brunette in this video and then look at the girl Ty just married, it sort of makes you wonder if Ty was seeing the girl he's with now while him and Jewel were still together. ..they look very similar. it might just be a coincidence though...

You can almost sense through her eyes she is very smart and funny as well. Even with her more somber and depressed lyrics she made when she was younger, up to these times when she sings beautiful things and gives people hope, her songs are always packed so beautifully... I've never stated favorites, but when people ask who my favorite singer is, I can say Jewel in no count.

I think anyone that disagrees with Jewels talented music is a lost soul. Her music is deep and moving. She brings the world to a better place.
Her lyrics are inspiring and listening to it makes me a better person.

I don't think sold out by doing country music or the 0304 album. I think she's showing off her diversity. Country, folk, pop, rock, lullabies. She can do it all. Artists shouldn't have to limit themselves to just one type of music in their entire careers.

I´m Argentinian ... and I love country music, but most of all, I love Jewel. She´s perfect.

I'm sorry, but to me country music is an extreme sellout. With nearly 0% creativity what is the purpose of it except to make money? If you notice, all the music is required to sound exactly the same, and the individual herself must fit a certain mold. These people seem highly intolerant of anything different, because different doesn't make money. Jewel now sounds exactly like any other country careerist. I am very sad for her, and the world lost a good artist.

Ugh...moving to country music might have been good for her bank account, but her creativity suffered immensely. More than any other music genre, country music has no room for imagination. I guess she was willing to sacrifice art for money/fame. Sad thing, really.
