Jethro Tull - Crossword Lyrics

Walking on air, shoulder and head above you.
Down in the street, black canyons walking through.
Hooded sad eyes, fixed on your shuffle shoes.
Life is a clue in your crossword.

Typewriter turk. Telephone terror takes
time to wind down. Push-button finger shakes.
City of dreams. Back to your quiet nightmare.
Your life is a clue in the crossword.

Working to rule in your own time.
Drag yourself home to your star sign page.
Staying awake on cold yesterday's steak and warm beer.

Ladder of string climbing to sweet success.
Homework aside. Your brain on the train to test.
Pick up the news (you left on the seat beside you).
Your life is a clue in the crossword.
Your life is a clue in the crossword.
Your life is a clue in the crossword.

Jethro Tull Crossword Comments
  1. B.... C....

Way better than any song on the original album.

    B.... C....

    Not so fast sir.

  2. S.... K....

Love Martin's guitar tone on this song

  3. B.... !....

    one of my favourite Tull-Tracks

  4. T.... V....

Se escuta esse contra baixo mesmo quando o som esta desligado... muito foda

  5. C.... N....

STORMWATCH somehow became my favorite JETHRO Tull album!
Thick, War Child, Passion Play, Aqua, Benefit, Broadsword all are top faves, but I guess the "Storm"/ sea themes carries a special interest!

  6. K.... I....

All of the "bonus tracks" from this record are great and should have been on the original album. Makes me wonder why they were cut. Maybe time constraints? Either way, glad we got them on the remaster

    K.... I....

Mostly because they did not fit the maritime theme of Stormwatch

    K.... I....

@Sandro Kovalev Yes indeed. But anyway they were very good songs.

    K.... I....

@Spriggan Yes they are, have you checked out the 40th Anniversary edition of Stormwatch that released a few weeks ago? It's got even more outtakes and alternate takes.

    K.... I....

@Sandro Kovalev Yes, I checked. I think that there's only one reason why they have been left off: Ian Anderson...

  7. R.... L....

Underrated song with some slick bass.
