Jerry Lee Lewis - Jackson Lyrics
We got married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout
We been talkin' 'bout Jackson
Ever since the fire went out
I'm goin' to Jackson, I'm gonna mess around (yeah?)
Well, go on down to Jackson, go ahead and wreck your health (hmm)
Go play your hand, you big-talkin' man, make a big fool of yourself
Yeah, yeah, go to Jackson, but go comb that hair
I'm gonna snowball Jackson
Go ahead and see if I care
When I breeze inta that city, the people gonna stoop and bow (ha ha)
I'm goin' to Jackson, ya turn-a loose-a my coat
'Cause I'm goin' to Jackson
Goodbye, that's all she wrote
They'll laugh at you in Jackson (I doubt it)
And I'll be dancin' on a pony keg
They'll lead you 'round that town like a scalded hound
With your tail tucked between your legs
Yeah, yeah, yeah, go to Jackson, you big-talkin' man
And I'll be waitin' there in Jackson behind my *Japan* fan
We got married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout
We been talkin' 'bout Jackson ever since the fire went ou-ou-out
Go to Jackson and that's a natural fact
We're goin' to Jackson, ain't never comin' back
We got married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout
We been talkin' 'bout Jackson

Linda Gail, I love you still. :)
В КАЙФ!!!
BEST VERSION EVER!!!
Great duet! Like it better than the original.
@ENACODNOM I really do agree with you. Johnny & June's version is good but as in comparison, Jerry Lee & Linda Gail's version sounds better. As usual, Jerry Lee and Linda Gail are hard for any musician to beat!
The Killer can really play his pumpin' piano. We saw him here in the early 70's and he put on a great show but cut it a little short because of health reasons I assume. I love his boogie beat in so many of his rockin songs. Jerry Lee, to me, can sing a ballad like no one else. I think his voice is just right for the romantic songs - especially country. I like the video his sister has in which she is showing how he's taught her to play in his style. It's on YouTube somewhere. Thanks. -Paula
He married Myra Gale Brown( The daughter of his bassplayer J.W Brown). That was Jerrys third marrige. Married for 12 years! They got Phoebe who is with Jerry now as his "manager".
Oh man....you could be right!
is this the cover version of jackson- johnny cash?????
An analogue recording. So much better than CD.
Better than Johnny & June!
Not at all. The last I checked, tho, thirteen was one of the 'teens'. Younger than THAT is a "pre"--as in "before" teen-age child. And thirteen was young enough, which was why there was all the ruckus!
Hah, you're telling us he didn't mary Myra when she was 13 years old? XD
He never had a pre-teen bride. Do your research, not just listen to rumors.
His 13 y.o. (3rd?) bride was his cousin Myra.
I thought Linda Gail Lewis was his pre-teen bride.
