Jerry Lee Lewis - Falling To The Bottom Lyrics
Yes old father time has done took it's tole, at reducing the killer to nothing
But on the way I must admit, He's had a little help from me
I've seen my dreams die and fall like leaves when they turn brown
I've fallen to the bottom workin' my way down
I climbed the ladder of success, that led to my distruction
I thought that fame and fortune was the key to happiness
but neighbors when I failed at love, I failed at life
The truth I finally found
Fallen to the bottom workin' my way down
I'm drowning in a river of mistakes and memories
A good womans love is what need now so desperatley
The mirror of my life (my god) reflects the blind fool I am
Fallen to the bottom workin' my way down

Jerry Lee Lewis Falling To The Bottom Comments
Jerry will always be on top as far as I'm concerned.
Never heard this, but I certainly can relate to The Killer's song...
He can rip your heart right of your soul, and love him for it!
❤️ Jerry Lee, always #1!!!!
He's so great god bless Jerry Lee he feels all his songs a great person still going
Man it takes a soul to write a song like this
I can really relate to this song. Makes me cry.
What a fantastic song by the killer!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Such a beautiful song...guess most of us have been on this road a few times...very touching.
No one delivers a heart-felt and serious old fashioned country song like the killer. Although the killer and us of his generation are on our way out, there will never, in spite of his and our shortcomings be an equal to his level of performance.
Ol Jerry Lee got a bad shake in the play. God bless him
Great song from a great album. This is excellent blues balladry at its best and Jerry Lee really excels on this type of song in the 1970s. He is such a great singer of all the different types of music and can really make you feel emotional when he does ones like this song and the title track of the album "Sometimes a memory" - a great country ballad with obvious respect for the blues too - as well.
Thanks for this classic played it when the album came out in 73 on a radio station in Portsmouth Va and a bunch of stations since then....
*****Stars + oh how long since I heard this...awesome thankyou
